@mazza20007 The person in the pink hat on the right is definitely Kimberly Grisby, and it's hard to say, but I'd guess the pink hat center-ish is Frances Mercanti-Anthony? It doesn't look like Lea to me, personally. I'm trusting that the people who say she was gone are right mostly because she doesn't sing Wendla's solos in any of the other strike videos.

@csurampride2569 It's been a long time and someone else might remember better, but I believe Groff's absence here was because he was filming his episodes of One Life to Live :) I have no idea what Lea was doing (isn't it possible that she wasn't doing anything in particular and instead just wasn't hanging around when they were singing?). This was November 2007, remember, and I don't know much about TV filming but I tend to say it's way too early for anything Glee-related to have been happening.

the cast wasn't losing their jobs. lol. the union for the broadway stagehands (like the lighting/sound/behind the scenes people) were striking because of low pay. the actors still had to show up at call time for the performance and stay for an hour because of union rules and whatnot.

It is sad it is closing. This is by far my favorite show. I have been following it since ti was in previews and workshops. It seems like shows with depth are being plowed away for more shows of the High School Musical generation. I am glad I just got on stage seats for OCtober 30. At least I'll see it one more time (hopefully more) before this amazing show closes.

I think it's more because it's such a controversial show. When I went to see the show, I heard a lot of "I can't believe they'd allow for a show like that to show on Broadway". It's sad that even over a century after it was written, people still can't handle the content of it.

I can't say for sure that's why they're closing, but that seems to be the only logical reason that they'd close it, because it's such a popular show, and it's only been on Broadway for like 2 years. I wouldn't be surprised if in ten years it made its way back to Broadway, it wouldn't be the first time it's happened.
