I actually do agree with you, because I don't get how you would fit 3D with 2D maplestory, but probably. If you undertstood correctly. This is just a test on what program he uses for his stuff like maple objects to make them glow and stuff. I find no way to make this fit with maplestory animations and how it would be necessary.

It's software because it's a program on the computer (an inanimate object) instead of something like a computer monitor or a keyboard. And I believe he uses Maya 2008 Unlimited. (Made by Autodesk)
