i could swear i was on this very same tour. i lived in hollywood back then and had a season pass to unviersal. i remember the tour guides decritions and info, i went enought itmes to know that each one had a different way of guiding the tour. i remember this tour, wow, amazing...so may years later. thnks for posting!!!
Wow memories , the last time I was at universal was when the movie "Batteries Not Included" was out , I remember the A-team van was there, so was "Kit" the car from knight rider I got to sit in it and talk to it, they where just building earthquake man good times , thanks for the 80s flash back
@bttfspencer No I didn't See it , i was on a fealtrip with my school , I think I was 10 , I saw Miami vice, jaws, I also remember my friend and I lifting the A team van like I said good times , I haven't been to Universal since then how is it now?
@bttfspencer No prob anytime , Ive been wanting to, but I have two sons a 4 and a 3 year old and I don't know if it's ok for them cause of the age or height ,
Omg. De-cent Bridge! Haha. That used to be my favorite part of the backlot tour, but about nine years ago they shut it down saying it was going to cost over 1 million in repairs. But, just recently I saw it open on a show called America's Roadtrip or something like that so now I am not sure if it is open again or not.
iwent in this in 2005 we were in the middle of every thing king kong grad the tram where to my brother could almost tought it the brige ( almost ) fell ect.
I remember INSISTING to my mother when we went through the ice tunnel when I was 8 that we were turning upside down! She even told me if that were true my hair would be standing on end - but I still KNEW we were turning upside down!
does anyone remember the boulders and the abyss they fall into? or howabout the runaway train? or even the frakenstein monster that would walk up to the tram and terrorize them?
Ahhh memories, I even remember this tram tour prior to this one! The bridge was great when you were on it and it felt like you were falling and the jolt. And I remember a lot of the old props wed see on the Older Tours. Does anyone remember the runaway train? And the large phone and shopping cart on the sides of the road from The Incredible Shrinking Woman?
I was on this tram in 1978. Some of the ride was still the same. The bridge, the parting of the sea and Jaws. The thing I remember most was Gilligans Island.(long gone now I guess) Great video and thanks for the post.

the collapsing bridge is open with new effects. currently, due to the construction of the new kong, it is closed.

@SueSnell You only felt like you were turning upside down because the room itself spins.
