My favorite episode is when Cordelia and Xander just broke up because he kissed Willow, and when she is heartbroken she meets Anyanka(Anya) the demon and Cordelia wishes that Buffy never came to sunnydale in the first place, i love seeing how all the characters roles changed, i really liked seeing the evil vampire side of Willow and Xander because it was just so different and unexpected, and i liked how Buffy who had been through a lot more and she seemed a lot like Faith Its a "What If" epsisode
@wetdream09 I hate that episode, the way it is edied at the end makes it objective that she is infact crazy. They meant to make it just possible, but because of how they edited it together at the end it made it fact.
@John1Cage They didn't make it fact...they established that there are plenty of alternate universes, and the demon drug made her slip between two realities, one in which the vamps are all real and the other in which she's a mental patient. Both are real and both are valid.
Can't see why you dislike Angel as a series, though. It outshines Buffy, and that says a lot coming from a huge Buffy geek like myself.
@waterkeeper511 It isn't presented like alternate universes, one in very much either in her head or not, both can't exists as independantly and objectively true. With Angel I am planning on going back and trying it again but I find Angel himself to be so geared towards a female audience that I find him hard to like. He is so sappy, puppy dog like and uninteresting to me at least, that I find it hard to relate and therefore like him.
@John1Cage In Crazy Universe, the Buffyverse only exists in her head, but that doesn't mean that the Buffyverse doesn't "really exist" for Buffy. It's up to interpretation; I think that they're both viable worlds in an infinite universe, and the demon drug caused Buffy to drift back and forth between them.
As for Angel: he's like that in Buffy but not in his own show...also, I'm not sure why you think his show is geared towards a female (comment continued, damn character limit)
@John1Cage Part 2: a female audience, because "Angel" as a show really disrespects its female cast members: they mostly become vessels for demonic gestation and they all die (Cordelia and Fred alike). Angel is actually a very masculine show, and just like Buffy, the key to enjoying it lies in the ensemble cast. Keep in mind that I'm talking about the show and not Angel himself. The Fang Gang family to me is more exciting than the Scoobies, and the show covers more spiritual ground.
@waterkeeper511 I didn't mean the show, I meant the character angel. I have seen the first season of the show and it didn't do enough to pull me in. I think the lack of an overall seasonal arch and a real nemesis was a problem for me, not episodic enough, but like I said will try again. But you prefer angel, I prefer buffy that's fine, no one is right no one is wrong, it's just an opinion, although...... buffy's better ;]
Nice Buffy and Angel where all that I watched threw Middle School, I have all of the seasons on DVD, but when I was back in 7th or 8th Grade I was way more into Angel I think it is one of the best if not the Best Detective Show ever made
@John1Cage - Awww You have to check it out in My Opinion the Story's are way better, and the Ending of Angel is way better than how they ended Buffy and they Crossover in many Episodes Buffy and Willow show up for a few Episodes and Spike is in the last 2 seasons, trust Me if You enjoy the Character on Buffy buy the end of the Story on Angel You will know so much more about the Characters and will be way more invested, trust Me Angel's Ending is Epic
@A4F7IPictures Yeah the crossover episodes are something I have wanted to check out for long time, I need to find list which contains them all, also harmony showed up didn't she often? if so I will have to watch as loved teh character. Is Sppike in the last two seasons fully?
@John1Cage - LoL Harmony is Angel's Secretary in the whole Final Season and its really funny, and Yes Spike comes back in the Last Season and is in every Episode First as a Ghost where He Haunts Angel at Work witch is Hilarious, then I think Half way threw the Season He becomes Corporeal, they explain how Spike comes back after Angel finds out Sunnydale Implodes they Cross over very well
@John1Cage - I would say just watch the Final season if You don't want to watch all 5, but each season crosses over with whatever is happening on Buffy that Year so You will notice things in every season of Buffy especially major plot points, like didn't You wonder what was happening on Angel at the End of Season 5 when Buffy really Died, trust Me You will Dig It and alot of Characters from the Past show up like Drusilla, Darla, Spike, Willow, Cordelia, Wesley, Buffy, and Harmony
@A4F7IPictures ok i'll watch it but i do dislike angel the charcater, I did last year watch the first season but just didn't like it, but you have convinced me to watch it through. (Drusilla and Harmony) swayed it in your favour.
@John1Cage - Yeah First Season is a little slow but it picks up in 2 and 3 but Angel as a Character grows from just being depressed and brooding all the time, My Favorite Character on Angel was Lorn The Host he is a Demon that runs a Karaoke Bar for Demons and He has the Power to read anyone's Aura, Soul, and Future when ever they Sing in front of Him. And yeah Drusilla and Darla Rule a whole season just killing a lot of people.
@John1Cage - LoL Dude Cordelia is in almost every Episode of all 5 Seasons, if You like her then You will enjoy the Show, most people who did Not like the Show back in the 90's where always complaining about Cordelia as the worst part of both Shows, but She dose Not bother Me
@A4F7IPictures wow I'm amazed people didn't like cordelia, she was a really important part narratively espeically of buffy at the first few seasons. But definately going to check out Angel now.
