@craveman85 Thanks It was free and had a lot of fresh parts on it. I think I spent about another 2 grand at least and I could still spend more it needs new leaf springs and few other things but it is still fun to drive.
I picked up a 1946 CJ2a in really ruff shape. We went to grab parts from a guy that had 35 to 45 of them in all sorts of shapes and sizes and managed to pick up at 1947 with numbers matching.
great job !!!...never over restore...you have to leave something for the next owner to do !!!

how long did this whole project take?

That is a BIG project. How you get rid of the rust? Did you sand, then put a rust inhibitor on it and then prime and paint???
WOW! Looks Beautiful! I want one!!!

I sand blasted, wire wheeled, cut out and replaced with new steel when ever possible, primed and painted

What mpg do you get and is it economical as a daily driver?
Raptor22f 2 years ago
I think it gets about 15 mpg or something like that I never checked it .I put about 1500 miles on it last summer and it seemed to be reliable

Very cool. I to like them ruff around the edges. If your going to build it ,use it! Ive got a 54 willys truck in the works.

Very Nice looking Willys. My dad had one just like it back in 1991, wish it had not thrown a rod...probably would have it now.
