Normally not much over 1:1
If you're very good at it and have a top modern suit, you can probably do a 2:1 ratio.

Affordable? Well. Since you need 300 jumps in order to be allowed to learn how to fly a wing suit, then... no. Not that affordable. :-)

Well, used BASE-prepped suits can go for pretty cheap. And if you can find a building, antenna, bridge, or cliff... you can go BASE jumping for the cost of the parachute!
Though I would SERIOUSLY not recommend it.

I just read 2.5:1 i.e for every 10,000 feet you will glide 25,000 feet.
I'm sure that one day they are going to make a version that allows you to land on your feet without a canopy - lol.
