Considered the most important demographic. Apparently a lot of people didnt like the joke. I guess that's Fox News fault.

Sarah Palin decided to run for Vice President, knowing all the while that her under-aged teenage daughter was pregnant. She knew what kind of negative attention her daughter's situation would bring down on her family yet her hubris trumped any concern for exposure to her family. Shame on her. She should have put her daughter's perdicament ahead of her own agrandizement.

Really? Are you a parent? And if so, how would you feel if the joke was made about your daughter? Yes, the man is a comedian but he was very, very out of line. As for Sarah Palin using this as a "Political Pawn," you need to remember that Letterman was the one who started the whole thing with the tasteless joke. Whether you agree with Palin's political ideas or not, it was her child who was attacked in this joke and she had every right to defend her. Most parents would do the same.

His argument makes perfect sense. SHE is the one who put her family in the spotlight for political purposes. Besides, she's not the first political family to made fun of and not the last. Not all comedian are as nice as Letterman, so she had better get used to this or retire from public appearances altogether.
As long as it is not presented as being fact or a threat, it is well within Letterman's or anyone's rights to make jokes about Palin and her family.
