I think people miss the point, most guys that take their kids fishing know that kids lose interest fast and the dad doesn't get a lot of fishing done. Yes the rocket rod is pretty terrible for fishing but I bet the kids don't realize that because they get to shoot it and watch how far it goes. It's basically for entertainment value and to let Dad do some fishin!

i learned to cast right away and could cast something like 70-90 feet with my 1 ounce lures.

now i cast wa over 200 feet and with seatrout lures around 300 feet!

more accurate is:

170 with normal lures

250 with seatrout

seatrout lures are very long and cast like a torpedo
