I simply didn't want this one hour roundtable discussion Sorkin, Zaillian, Eric Roth and others to end. Thank you Hollywood Reporter. There were some good questions and good responses. Looking forward to the 2012 series.
Wow! Thank you so much for the Hollywood Reporter for this roundtable discussion with 2011's leading screenwriters. It would have been good to have seen Abi Morgan within this group.
Someitmes... when a group of writers has gathered... it's good to talk about writing.. Not direction!!! Boy it takes forever for this to get going.. thanks Pedro.
Really annoying that Pedro Almodovar is on there. He's first and foremost a director, and he does the director thing on the panel, dominating the conversation. You can see Sorkin getting a little impatient. I watched this because I want to hear the guys who are primarily writers.
@OldSkoolNCSA Agree. That's exactly what I thought. It would have been fascinating to have had Abi Morgan who had a great year with 'Shame' and 'The Iron Lady'. May be she was not available when this event took place. Nevertheless, this is a real treat to have this roundtable discussion.
Great selection of writers, though the fact that John Logan isn't part of it is a little surprising. With "Rango", "Coriolanus", and "Hugo" out this year, you'd think he'd have a lot to talk about.

Eric Roth is a cool customer. I want to sit on a porch with the guy and just talk.

This interviewer is playing some kind of character... right? No one is paid to be this horrible at leading a conversation.

thumbs up if you fast forwarded thru Pedro's answers
*sorry...he's a brilliant filmmaker but the language barrier seems to get the best of him here / tends to lead to rambling answer

Really interesting discussion, but having a woman on the panel would have been nice...
