  • the antennas look like you ears

  • tell me how make external usb WiFi device please

  • could we just buy it off you,cuz it seems cheep and hard to make, so could we buy it for $2.99

    :P?

  • i have a netgear router and no rabbit ears.

  • im a nigger, will this work on my wifi?

  • @ravetunes Fucking racist 10 year olds...

  • @MrRetrospex stupid nigger

  • @ravetunes I Know your lying...... Niggers don't have WIFI!

  • @Fatassgaby I AM A NIGGER!!

  • My internet works perfectly... I must be so bored to watch something I don't need...

  • Yes but how does one compensate for having a huge monster dong that blocks the signals.

  • @Dallytime I actually laughed (chuckle mostly) out loud...so is that COL instead of LOL?

  • better than before

  • how can i do this with linksys E4200?

  • It didnt work for me, it caused drop outs.

  • i am not gay,,, but i love you,,, dude it work soooooo awesommmmmmeeeeeeee......

    Amaizinggg..!!!!!

  • omg those works soooooo good

  • I have made one of these antenna boosters about a year ago. I had a linksys router and it worked great.

  • this is not work

    just for beauty

  • LMFAO......hahaha @ 2:03

  • My issue is an internal antenna with no external port. I priced out externals but even after considering drilling holes in my PC case... I would be better off buying an external device. Oh well I keep surfing...

  • you may have seen this on youtube.it is on youtube.

  • he reminds me of the fat kid from harry potter

  • Has anyone actually tried it? Is it good?

  • @ayemy hahahaha

  • What is this specifically for? does it make the internet faster? or what?

  • this antenna works i high suggest people to make one and use it !!

  • WHY WOULD YOU SPEED THE VIDEO UP WHILE WE TRYING TO MAKE IT ??? -.-

  • How about just getting a tetra pack you waster! Go pray hay you just wasted all that ally and I save tonnes:)

  • my router has no antenna but my adapter in my pc does so i made one and stuck it back there, boosted my signal from almost nothing to about 3Mbps. Then i make-shifted a bigger one and stuck it right underneath my router and after a few minor tweaks in the direction I'm now catching a very strong signal, clocking it at almost 10Mbps. PS the cardboard from an empty budweiser case works perfectly and also, if cut to the right size, can be printed on!

  • What if the router doesn't have an antenna like yours?

  • I followed all the instructions but it did not work for me! Help me I'm desperate!! I don't know what I did wrong.

  • Just use a beer can grasshopper!

  • Will the paper catch on fire? I kinda shift my moderm (It's 2wire so it doesn't have antenna) so that the desktop CPU will not block the signal. Well if the signal strength is less I'll use this method XP

  • i have tried this method and it works very good!! you people should try it

  • I have an outdoor, closet office and our router is in the center room of a medium sized house. Indoors on top of the router, I get about 20 Mbps, and the signal strength used to be pretty good when we first got it a few years ago. In recent months my outdoors speed hovering around 4 Mbps, occasionally even dropping connection completely. I just built one of these and the signal was boosted all the way up to 11-12 Mbps. Its a bit rough and I wasn't using recycled, so maybe that can be improved.

  • what if router has no antenna

  • i have to wait 30 min just to load this video....

Wifi is like a planet.. it turns SLOWLY >.<

  • anyone else taking so long to watch this because of crappy wi fi connection xD?

  • does this increase my bandwidth ?

  • 1:08 for funny face

  • the doncept is easy, the bigger the dish the more interfierence , if you use a mendelbroth pattern antena(made or bought)it is proven that the fisical dynamics affect the incoming signal.

  • 0:09 thats what she said

  • Heh I remember seeing this episode of systm when it was first released.

Windsurfer worked well for years in my old house. Went from zero/1 bar to 3 bars/5 bars signal everywhere.

  • They look trampy. Hey guys don't be chap just buy one for a fiver

  • did not work very well !!

  • is it slipped over an antenna or is it wired and screwed into the box directly? SERIOUSLY!

  • Now I can finally communicate with my evil nuclear satellite.. Thank you Patrick!

  • Thumbs Up if your watching this in 2011!

  • just use an empty beer can. cut it half open and place it on the antenna , works as good as the thing in the video, and way faster and easier to make.

  • does it work with one antenna because thats what ive got

  • Question, I have the 16 inch 9dB boost antennas, could I build the standard size "Windsurfer" and put it at the top of the antennas? Could I make multiple antennas for the length of the antenna, maybe 2 or 3? Or even should I enlarge the printing, while keeping it square, and make it take up the whole antenna?

  • i found some aluminum foil in someones recycling bin would that work?

  • Can't believe it. I now have wifi in my conservatory & my garden. Local PC World charged me over £120 for a dual band router that didn't work.

  • Why did you put aluminum foil on the outside this time? In your previous video, you put the aluminum foil on the inside.

  • i got 2% more

  • 1 tard making obvious comments. .. priceless.

  • will this the web surfer work for my wireless usb adapter that has a small plastic antenna

  • It sucks when you don't have a printer :(

  • @eweed4328 You can print it in the nearest printing store...

  • my cisco router doesn't have antenna

  • @MultigrainPie i have a linksys wireless... what can we do for signal booster

  • @MultigrainPie it has an internal antenna, thats why you cant see it

  • @MultigrainPie Yeah same here help!!!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @MultigrainPie I have the same problem What can you do about it?

  • @MultigrainPie it internal that is why attract people, because it look better and save space.

  • i just go sit on my roof :/

  • @thedma100 Last winter, when I was cleaning the roof (there was so much snow, many people lost their roofs, sadly), I got bored & logged onto MSN with my phone. Lagged a bit, so I might be making a booster this winter, though :D

  • i live next to my school and they're going to let their wifi go public.. but... facebook is blocked, so idk if theres a point in this

  • @pabelmon2 try a proxy server

  • @pabelmon2 use a proxy while using their wifi

  • @jawbraeka I would, but all the proxies are blocked. we have a very good tech man at our school, ii mean. hes damn good,

  • wisdomnairyahoo need help

  • /watch?v=odTeqBOkUdA

    try this !!

    workd Perfect

aaah it made my day :D

  • gf nice kid noob i gf you with d claws

  • got a friend to do this, then i set up a open AD-HOC network on his computer thats on pritty much 24/7. Forget aircraft/ng and packages!! I GOT FREE BANDWIDTH TILL HE LEARNS WHAT AN AD-HOC NETWORK IS!!! :D I love a poor suck how hardly knows about computers. :P

  • mine doesnt have a antenne

  • @GreatNorthWeb scissors and screwdrivers are TOOLS so he listed them as tools.

  • Just google windsurfer antenna template if you can't connect to the site.

    yea..

  • it looks stupid but it works

  • Gandolofinis smart brother

  • ups! The site to download the template is expired! :(

  • If you don't have a manilla folder or are not into crafts you can just cut aluminum foil into a triangle shape put one hole in it towards the top and one towards to bottom, then put pointed end of the router through the two holes. it will sit up just the same. Make sure the the aluminum does not have deep wrinkles in it for the best reception..

  • i generally like these diy videos but i hate it when the host shows scissors and screwdrivers in the tool list. oh, i need scissors to cut with? gee, i didn't realize that. what? a screwdriver to remove a screw. faahhk! i never knew how complicated this was going to be.

  • how the hell do i downloaod the template

  • @rocktechtips Yeah, I don' t see the download button on the freeantenna site either. I would like to try this, too.

  • @dsmith019 Right click, save picture as, on the template... Then print the picture.

  • OK i was making this for like 60 minutes :D But it just works!

  • Shot bro. Gonna give it a try now :)

I have an ap in my flat and want to connect to the laptop media server in my parents lounge. If I improve the antennas on both ends I'm sure it will help.

I've got a dlink ap gonna try this. Would it help if I got an extension to the ap and mounted the antenna with a bracket outside?

Any ideas on how to boost the laptop? I opened it and see the AUX and MAIN wrap around the screen with a silver backing. Aiming the screen 90 degrees to the direction of the ap

  • @alistairnel I'm doing this over 75+- meters btw found that channel 13 is running the best :)

  • Nice

  • your a cheap tool

  • mine dont have an antenna

  • karengallardo.lightyearwireless

  • @pokerbmx1 you are a retard.

  • 50 people didn't use recycled aluminium foil

  • is there any way to do this if you have a linksys without antennae? cuz they don't come with them anymore

  • btw, you can also make one for the receiving computer... i put one on my router and one on my remote computer and works...

  • this works... adds about 5-6 dbi

  • What if your router does not have an antenna? :(

  • i have the same router lol

  • this does nothing to help in need to have mine go through 1 foot of concret and 50 ft away and this does crap.

  • @brandonhughes7 trying to get wifi in prison, are you?

  • @dussin23 haha funny but no our router is in the basement i have know idea why my dad put it there but ya its in our basement and when have to houses on the same property and im in the building that the router is not. i only get 1 maybe 2 bars of signal strangle and we bought this router for $ 150 its the D-link extream N gameing routher with a 200ft signal streanght so ya im not it prison but it feels like it because my parents are so stricte im 16 and i cant leave the house unless i ask.

  • the BEST antt I have found is to velcro a Swansons metal tv dinner tray to the back of your laptop, sure it looks funny and your computer will smell of old chicken fat but if you cant afford wifi you cant afford to be picky....you have to align the fudge brownie section over the antt built into the laptop lid....

  • hey i did made it and it freakin decreased 3 mb

  • @SuperRehank EPIC FAIL!

  • shit ,,,, if you sit to read some books about "radio waves" you will understand how to do good gainer ! wasting on time to look this bullshit...

  • can i use tetrapak??

  • @pokerbmx1 lol youre stupid if you believe that

  • Comment removed

  • @pokerbmx1

i read that backwards and front words and weeks later i'm still alive

  • dont think people from san francico would like you calling there houses ratty

  • No your all wrong the reason the foil is outside the manilla folder is to catch the signal that goes through the folder and act like a mirror and redirect it the other way.

  • ya.... he put them together inside-out.. what a fool..haha ..the foil goes on the outside..there bud.

  • fail.... Most people have long range singnal! if you dont well =/ haha >:P

  • your huge ears are something i can make fun of

  • yes what doing something with internal antennas.......

  • ?????? the foil is facing opposite of the manilla folder??? how does that work? Did the instructor in the video realize that? Shoudnt the foil face the antenna?

  • @BatBobOmb

wifi signals go through your walls, why not the manilla folder?! LMAO

  • you have big ears

  • Were do get the wifi thing

  • if only my neighbors had one

  • @israel819 lmao

  • those with internal antenna, you can wrap this kind of setup around your router and direct the foil towards your laptop or whatever you want~ :)

  • THANK YOU! This gadget works very well and was easy to make. It increased my signal strength by 1 -2 bars. I can now use Skype in all the rooms of the house on my netbook.

  • does this work ?

  • @mr1josh no.

  • The blueprint isnt at your webpage anymore

  • i've got a problem my router is with no antenna how should i do this hack

  • Try specialized tools to improve signal quality without all this stuff :). It brings full characteristics about surrounding networks and signal, so you adjust your router, or network card parameters. In my case the most significant thing was actually used channel, Windows not provides this info. I was used Maxidix Wifi Suite.

  • Yoo what if your router has no antena coming out of it . And its internal. Then what???

  • this dude put the foil on the wrong side.. lmao the parabolic shape is there for a reason.. it will beam everything from the center of the parabolic, making it stronger?

  • @GamingMusiq Ya know, the manila cutouts is to radio frequencies as air is to your eyes; invisible. It goes right through it, meaning it WILL bounce from the aluminum foil... He placed the foil on the correct side.

  • Guys! You without antennas, well antennas are integrated so it would work as well if you put the "boosters" behind your rooters. Peace!

  • Wasn´t eh aluminium foil supposed to be in the inside part of that "Windsurfer"

  • It wont matter if its on the inside or the out side.

  • I wonder if those metal browning disc from microwave meals would work?

  • Works really well. The signal strength increased to like 50%! Plus, I haven't used the foil yet, i utilized that "foil-like" wrapper inside a cigarette box! Two thumbs up!

  • @metmil4ever i mean my router only have 1 ....

  • very clever!

  • My antenna is external one so it should be great for me.. but after i make the thing up i realize that, i only have 1 antenna and most of the time when i use wifi i would use it somewhere at the east of the router and at thje bottom of the router together.... so where should i point that to....pointing to one location would surely weaken signal of another one...

  • guys how i will boost my wifi if i dont have an antenna...i mean my router is linksys and its doesnt have an antenna, i know that its an atenna inside of the router but i need a tutorial about this without the antenna D:

  • @tiffanywangthebest just make a much larger version and put it around the router. don't ask me how to cuz i cant explain it myself

  • Get a piece of sheet metal, tin, aluminum, whatever, cut it about 12"x12" bend it into a curve and stand it behind your modem. Works great with no antenna modems. Takes 5 minutes to make. If you need to buy material, go to HD or Lowes and get a piece of heater duct. You'll know what to do with it when you see it. Also, put your modem on top of a bookshelf with the reflector behind it. If you have a device with a dongle, get an extension usb cable and mount the dongle up on the wall.

  • @demreaper tin foil.

  • Thank you, it works well.

  • 100% WORKS! I NOW HAVE WIFI IN MY ROOM! WUHOOO! I DON'T NEED TO GO TO MY PARENTS ROOM ANYMORE! HAHAHAHA

  • i have optus mini wifi device . how to make antenna for that ?

  • "Some scissors or some kind of cutting device"

hmmmm gonna go get my machete :P

  • This is really amazing! I put the AP in the basement, and the weak signal in the 3rd floor increases from ~50% to ~68% due to this antenna!

  • Nice Video. What is the name of the song that start at 1:44?

  • I haven't got antennas on my router, so do you position behind, in front, or at the side? Grateful for any suggestions.

  • good idead im trying to steal wifi any tips for that?

  • awesome man!!! u're very smart !!!!!

  • can you do this with xbox 360? for thos noobs that have dollar store connection?.....

  • Thanks.

  • oh thank you!!! thanks very much!

  • I just spent 20 minutes making this. I went to my router, and it doesn't even have antennas! LOL.

  • lol hahaaha xDDD you're so crazy men ;D

  • @sgreen4 lmao

  • @sgreen4 every router have antennas, what shit you do you got?

  • @Dualshock21 Some routers have internal antennas...

  • @sgreen4 u need a wireless router not a normal 1

  • Comment removed

  • @sgreen4 u need a normlal router doesnt hv antennas coz u hv 2 connect it

  • @sgreen4 u got cable wireless XD

  • @sgreen4 LOLLLL

  • @sgreen4 LOL FAIL!!!!!
