@DavisJoker She only means that way the curl spirals should be facing outward, so that it is more flattering. ie, on YOUR left the curls have a counter-clockwise spiral, and on YOUR right they have a clockwise spiral.

I don't think the curls are as curly compared to using an actual curler. I just bought a hair curler darn. If only I came across this video earlier... I love curly hair so pretty ! :D

This is the easiest way to curl with a straightener. Just a half turn and pull straight out. I've been doing my hair this way since I was 15, so about 6 years. Alternate directions to not end up with the curls that clump together, and you can change the type of curl based on the direction, how hard you press and how fast you go. It takes a long time to master.
