2009 yamaha wr250r w/ yoshi pipe

Heya, does your Yoshimura have a dB-killer or a Spark Arrester in it? I took a closer look at mine, and noticed that about halfway through the silencer there is a restricting plate. In case you have removed yours, care to tell me how you did it?

Is the yoshi street legal. im not sure if i should get the Yoshi or the GYTR Competition Slip-On Muffler... what do you think?

EFI started on these bikes in Fall of 2008 if I'm not mistaken. I know for shure '09 had it because I got an issue of Dirt Bike that was all stoked about it.

pull out the spark arrestor and you have the same sound. If its too loud w/o it, cut off the mesh screen cap and then cut off the pipe that extends into the can. This will give you a good low roar but not any popping.

Is there anything else you did to get that sound or is it really just a yoshimura pipe? And what kind of yoshi pipe is it?

ya just the pipe, i know have the ais system out that stops back fires, and popping when you decelerate makes its sound so much better, and a fmf power programmer which ads power and a louder bike :]
