ok let me just tell u people i used organic chicken broth and it tasted like nothing :( so i added lots of salt and now it has flavor ;D garlic salt ftr. instead of of white beans i used brown beans and Garbanzo ones. I put a lot of onions and tomatoes :) I also am adding the brown rice and mixed veggies at the end. I already put frozen peas and carrots in and also tomato soup base instead of past. I am also adding the potatoes at the end :) :) . I made all this in rice maker lol fo show. :)
I'm going to try this with brown rice mixed vegetables and chicken broth. I already have boiled potatoes so I will add those at the the end. organic :D
Hi heartagram360, I use canned beans, and frozen corn... canned for both would be fine. The cooking time isn't long enough to support dried beans unless you cooked them in advance :)
Thanks for the great recipe! I especially like the tip on how to measure the veggies. I've had problems with cutting too many and then having to make much more soup than I wanted. I also like the tip about how to freeze pre-measured amounts of tomato paste. I think you have a great concept and I love the way you've organized things. Keep up the good work!
