for a chunky version, just add the cream then mash a little bit with a potato masher.. best of both worlds. soup and whole chunks of veggies.. of course, make sure you dont cook the veggies to mush....
:P a lil bit ....maybe, ...but i think it`s my aversion showed up to this kind of ''soups'' (blended) ... but it was not directed at the `legourmettv`.... just my point o view
I always use onions and garlic for my base and i'm talking a whole bulb of garlic!
After that I did this basic cauliflower soup and it was a hit.
My kick was 1 tbs of curry powder and 1 tsp or tumeric, I didn't even have to add salt

nice soup...but in my version i never blend it...times when mom feeded me with Gerber Soups are gone.... i prefer whole veg
