@bavmordis Sorry dude, no idea there. As far as I know they are separate clans. O means 'son of' so, son of Connell, so maybe there was a link once upon a time? Quite common names too.
My advice, talk to some of your family members, maybe they've already started a family history?

@mollyoconnell83 Hi! Yes, my paternal side is from the O'Connell's who left Ireland for NZ. I wasn't too sure who my relatives were so just filmed anything that related to O'Connell. I have a copy of our family tree which Elizabeth O'Connell created.
