Still, great challenges lie ahead. and they probably always will.
I think PJ stated it just right in one of his radio addresses: working on TVP should be considered like building one of the old cathedrals. The initial architect likely never saw the finished building.
I actually think playing the game is NOT okay. That is the real truth of the matter. For as long as you play, you will either try to win or you will lose. Reject the game. In an intelligent society, everyone wins.
@ArcadianGenesis i reject the game, but society dictates that one must play. i have no job. i quit high school. i am by no means an unintelligent person, but what can you do? what lengths must we take to avoid playing? life is not a game you can simply forfeit without consequence. the only way to change the game is to change how the game is played. the game continues because we continue to play it. if three people play monopoly, and one forfeits, does the game end? no. all players must forfeit.
@omnise Good point. I guess my only response is that if one person forfeits and three keep playing, the one who quit can start to play a new game (or do something else entirely). That's what we want to do, isn't it? And once you've stopped playing the game, you realize that there's more to life than the game, and you don't need the game.
@ArcadianGenesis good reply. while i dont wish to play, i cant be content with others playing, especially when human life, as well as the environment are the pieces being bartered. i cant be content with the world in its current state unless the game ends. i sometimes wonder where the hierarchy of this global power reaches its peak, but this much is certain to me: if all other players leave the table, the hierarchy cannot win. for one man to rule a nation, he needs nothing short of an empire.
Read John's book, it will change your life. When is wanting more ever satisfied? Is more ever going to be enough? Will the horizon ever get any closer? Please read John's book.
