  • u have any idea how to connect 4pin to 3pin for gpu?

  • Is it possible to go from a 4pin pcie to a 6 pin pcie?

  • Those sleeving look ugly. Nothing about you sleeving them but even with the sleeving on you can still see the colours of the cables :/

  • what about sleeving each cable on the molex? btw, where can I get ez grip molex plugs in black or red? thanks for the video.

  • So in your opinion which would be better for sleeving, sleeving all 4 cables on the molex connector for one big wire or sleeving 2 cables for 2 smaller wirse?

  • Do modern PSU's need to be sleeved? I am talking PSU's from CM and Antec and all big PSU suppliers? Thanks.

  • @orestesdd This is an aesthetic mod. Not really a functional, though can be interpreted as one.

  • @orestesdd

Most modern PSU's have the sleeving already. But not all the way up to the connectors. For example, the gpu cables. Normally the sleeving doesn't go all the way up to the connectors. With this "how to" u can sleeve the last bit of the cable.

    Just a example.

  • size of heatshrink?

  • i hate the loof of the tie wrap under the shrink tube.

  • Great Vid. but as stated before there's alot of easier ways of getting the the sleeve on the wire than wrestling your finger in there and pushing.

What I do is I take the sleeving and I start with a pencil first, (you want it to be a fresh one, with a blunt tip, not sharp or else you tear the sleeve) then I get one of those pens that start normal and get thicker at the end and expand the sleeve even more to make sure the cables will go in without hassle. add the heat shrink and done.

  • yeah I knew there were more efficient ways it's just at the time none had come up

It usually goes smoother than it had today.

good thing i didn't get my struggle on camera

  • great vid

  • great vid.

  • nice demo. lot people think it's to hard, but as you demonstrated it's really not so hard, just time consuming. try to use a straw next time, I personally use a piece of 1/4" or 1/2" s.s. tube, depending on the size of sleeve works great!

btw do you wanta borrow a light lol

another tip is to melt the sleeve after cutting it so it doesn't come unraveled, a hot knife is perferred

  • Ahh. A lot of what you said is which I only imagined what would be ideal, but I didn't think of at the time.

I straw.. Damn I wish I would've thought of that LOL. It's such a pain otherwise.

Also I tried it with a hot knife and that didn't turn out so well.

  • yea I have that same problem myself. I think of some of my best idea's when I suppose to be sleeping, so quite honestly I never sleep That's why I'm called "LazyMan" LOL Like now I should be painting my case but I can't get off the damn computer LOL

as far as a hot knife, heating a knife won't work. they sell a special hot knife for that purpose, back in the day when you had to sleeve all PSU cables it was worth purchasing. but now I wouldn't buy one.

do a vid with the straw ( a follow up)

  • I find myself creating ideas at all the wrong times myself because i'm always away from my workplace or don't have any way of listing them.. like at school, stores, restroom LOL, etc.

And my heat torch actually came with this tip if I remember correctly and I attempted it with that and all it did was melt.. I was thinking the old yarn-tape method, but I figured what was working was find for the time being.

  • nice

  • too much work...

  • you're so lazy lmao

  • yep

  • good tips
