  • Played this last night - brilliant game. A lot of the characters in this promo aren't in the game though!? And there's bits which look like a drive-by which don't exist in the game. The most 'modern' game i've played is HL, HL2 and TF2 so its sad to read in the comments that they don't make em like this anymore..

  • Awesome, they don't make them like this anymore, that's so true. I remember playing the first demo of the game and there were those characters alright...

  • I remember playing the demo of this game again and again years ago.

And I even bought the game on Good Old Games recently. :)

  • HOLY F*@K I didn't know this was from Interplay!

It was such a sweet game, btw it was this game that got me hooked on Cypress Hill (because of the song: Checkmate), was this song also in it? (got their full discography nowadays)

  • @Rickokun - As a matter of fact it was, as well as 16 Men Till There's No Men Left and Lightning Strikes.

  • beaten this game on old days, best experience in the ninteees!

  • If there was one these days probably would look like condemned criminal origins i guess

  • My fried gived me this lol its scarý with those graphics

  • this game was awesome wish they made a sequel!!

  • Is this agood game?

  • @jukkafan1 Yeah, I would recommend it, probably the most violent game made for it's time. You can talk to people, modify weapons etc...

It was supposed to be kind of like GTA on steroids, with driving and bigger maps, all that good stuff, but the publishers rushed it out the door... Still a good game though.

  • Problem with the Music Theres just 3 Tracks Thats it. I would of Picked at least 7 or 9 More Tracks to make this game a Good Game.

  • hey anyone know if there will be a sequel man this brings me back to the old days still have the game just dont play it as often

  • This song wasn't in the game and many of the character uniforms weren't either, so I think this was a very early trailer from the unfinished game. The online play was fantastic for about a year and died off as people left, no longer interested. It was the first time I was a regular online player. I really miss this game and it won't run well on my system because of old hardware calls to newer hardware.

  • What is weird the Art Design is simliar to RTCW's with all the character models. also since this is based on the Quake 2 engine, the Bunny Jumping made it into the game which is weird Because there were finishing up on Quake 2: The Reckoning Mission Pack.

  • @Btushinsky83 I think it was intended to be very 1930's gangster-like, which is reflected in the weapons, vehichles, environment, characters and voice acting, but just not the music. I personally liked the music because it gave attitude to the game. Jazz or Big Band may have worked better, but would have demanded a lot more work to the rest of the game to make it more believable. As it was, it was really fun and irreverent. :)

  • street life ;)

  • The death animations in this movie are way better than what ended up in the game. I think only about recognized about two from the actual game.

  • you can tell it's an early build because it uses the old Quake 2 blood spraying effects and the guns don't have any muzzle flashes like in Quake 2

  • The version I have there is muzzle flashes.

Must of been an update or something.

  • @UnknownMercenary I think that this was probably one of the most modified Q2 engined games outside of Half_life. I think the body models and animations were better than Half_life, but facial animations and environment interaction wasn't as good.

  • Upgrade the pistol with a silencer. Enjoy the ninja tactics while turning heads into mince meat and listening to Cypress Hill beats.

  • seriously, bethesda should team up with xatrix or something. Put it on PS3 n X-Box

  • I love this game, beat it twice, I hope they will make kingpin 2

  • Wow alot of stuff different from the final version, no blood splats, different gangster models, used original quake 2 particle effects for blood and bullets, and a different thompson gun model, and possibly different levels

  • Also, different akimbo pistol animation, different pistol model, different death animations.

  • Maan, you're obviously an observant type. I've never noticed those differences before!

  • Nah im just interested, this game is awesome at it's current state anyway!

  • Comment removed

  • They just don't make games like this anymore. Shame the company that made this went bankrupt before the sequel even came out.

  • Wonder who has Kingpin rights these days?

  • Who knows, maybe people are too lazy to even bother to make one.

  • Interplay...I mean what's left of it.

They just released it on Steam today.

    Great game.

  • hmmm i cannot remember this models or even not the map ? huh? in my kingpin there are not this skins

  • this was an awsome game

i remember me and my big brother playing

    it

    good old times (:

  • Nice trailer )

  • yea that rockZ!

  • what's the name of the song ? this song rlz
