Well, I'm sure you can understand that his voice doesn't sound like a classical singer's. At all. And him trying to play Frederic in "Pirates of Penzance"... I'm sorry, but it just left me cold. He just didn't understand the style of music, and it showed. Blatantly.

Don't worry, I'd say the same if Pavarotti had released an album of reggae, or something. I'm not just targeting him, but... you get what I mean.

Ok I see what you mean, I thought he did more opera beyond Pirates... I know that Pirates allowed him to pursue Broadway and acting roles. I guess he tried all his options to get the fame he was looking for through music. I wish still was popular in the US because unlike others of his generation, he still has the chops!
