@COREYMCGUIRE1993 the movies pretty much ignore the comic story-line completely....both Gambit and Rouge were actually bad guys for quite a while before joining X-men. It's about what mutants they can easily do on the budget, are PG-13 friendly, and CGI ready instead what mutants are actually in the comics.

Thats the one thing I always feared about Gambit in live action. He is not like most characters, he has a huge following and if his accent is off it almost doesnt seem like him. The accent is such a big part, sarcasm, jokes, referring to himself in the 3rd person, broken english that is gramatically incorrect. All this makes gambit. Looks enough like gambit, even seems to have some charm but the writing needs work. Besides its hard for him to truly look like gambit without his black facemask...

@cnicolemurchison After watching some x-men cartoons and stuff, i don't think he fits for the caractere ether, the caractere is more of a big mouth, and has this french aksent, this guy doesn't even look like him at all.

In the cartoons he is more funny, in the origin movie, he was just a dude with cards and a stick :S they should switch him out with some one else, i just don't know who :P
