The further out you go the more often you get them (after a chain is started) if it is very far out its almost 100%, if there are only a few very close just wait for your radar to recharge so you don't lose the chain, if you keep the chain going you can get almost all the ditto you want (more than one is probably for IV breeding) Good luck may the False Swipe be with you.

To catch a Dittio like using a Masterball, just buy a Repeat Ball. Repeatballs catch pokemon 100%.
