@abramjessiah I know, just generalizing a bit. Still, you can tell when it's CGI as opposed to a very nicely made model or robotic monster. Compare the first Star Wars movies to the later ones, where everyone just dropped the ball on acting or scene composition.

C'era una densità estrema di fumo nella nella stanza dove venivano fatte le riprese che permetteva una differenziazione tra i livelli di profondita e sapevamo che questa tecnica sarebbe stata molto efficace per Blade Runner e abbastanza veloce e non molto costosa da realizzare...nel primo piano c'erano gli oggetti più tridimensionali, palazzi, torri, ecc. e con decine di centinaia di fibre ottiche che da sotto il tavolo entravano all'interno dei palazzi per creare l'effetto delle luci.

Verissimo. Douglas parla degli studi che sono stati fatti prima di costruire il plastico. Chi doveva realizzare quella che successivamente si è rivelata una spettacolare impresa, ha osservato le forme, i profili, le silhouette di fabbriche e industrie, ciminiere e simili, perché tutto questo andava poi ridotto di dimensioni per la creazione del plastico. Con una particolare tecnica si sono riprodotti perfettamente in scala tutte queste forme tridimensionali.
