I know European Universities because I use to live in Europe. My father works for an oil company and I had the opportunity to travel and live across Europe for a portion of my life. My experience with the Irish and British education systems was extensive, my experience with the French wasn't as great but I still feel I can give an informed opinion on the matter. Being accepted to 2 Europeans Universities I ultimately chose The University of Alabama, where I am from.
I am not saying I necessarily chose the "best" school but I have to say that the vast majority of "rankings" are based on opinion and population, nothing more. The University of Alabama is more than a match in my opinion to both Trinity University and University of Lyon. In many aspects UA is superior. Perhaps it is just that those schools did not meet my expectations as I expected allot but I honestly feel UA and hence even better schools in the US are as good if not better.

Afterwards the doctors decided that a limp would be acceptable for the rest of my life. I went to the US and had to have the leg re broken and fixed correctly.

Manual transmissions are for people who absolutely love to drive. Automatics are for people who just want to go to Point A to Point B. VW probably has the highest proportion of manual cars because VW buyers tend to love to drive and want a fun to drive car. I drive a Corolla myself because I prefer the reliability and fuel economy of a Toyota but I plan to upgrade the wheels and suspension to make it somewhat fun to drive. I'm not hating on anyone who drive automatics it's just a personal choice
auto is for ppl who either can't drive manual or drive suv's and luxury cars, and btw formula isn't an auto gearbox, it's sequential, two diff things.
You don't have to defend yourself, for in about 3 years, almost every car is going to be offered in Sport-mode automatic. Automated-manual will be the new stick, and Sport-mode automatic will become the new automatic.
manual can be fun though, but yea I bought an auto because i live in chicago, so traffic is a bitch and switching gears all the time gets annoying. But it doesn't matter you can make automatics just as fast as a manual, so its not much of a difference anymore atleast...

I prefer manual because u decide when to shift gear and u feel more in control, besides it feels more powerful. But I have to admit that the drag cars are automatic (a really powerful tranny, nothing cheap)and turbo auto is the perfect sleeper.

Yes I understand French, and Yes I understand and am almost fluent in German. I would imagine the Swiss would speak both given your geographic position and history. Personally, I feel that American education gets it bad reputation and somewhat deservingly given the very poor standard amongst many poor and minority areas. However, more affluent suburbs and other areas receive a public education that is the equal of any in the world. We should work on that I agree.

I know European Universities because I use to live in Europe. My father works for an oil company and I had the opportunity to travel and live across Europe for a portion of my life. My experience with the Irish and British education systems was extensive, my experience with the French wasn't as great but I still feel I can give an informed opinion on the matter. Being accepted to 2 Europeans Universities I ultimately chose The University of Alabama, where I am from.

I am not saying I necessarily chose the "best" school but I have to say that the vast majority of "rankings" are based on opinion and population, nothing more. The University of Alabama is more than a match in my opinion to both Trinity University and University of Lyon. In many aspects UA is superior. Perhaps it is just that those schools did not meet my expectations as I expected allot but I honestly feel UA and hence even better schools in the US are as good if not better.

No, because if it was many in Europe would be suffering from a similar situation, oh wait they are. You may have heard the acronym PIIGS, if not look it up and take another look. It is a simple fact that the United States is the world leader in higher education, it is only natural that the world economic and military power have these educational assets, which is does. As a person who takes seriously the lessons of history, it would be unwise for a European to point out vise and foreign policy mistakes given European history of violence, racial, social, and religious intolerance. Seeing as that both Europe and her cousin in the United States have more than their fair share of all of it. I get your point, but I have to point out that the American auto industry in spite of its faults etc is still the largest in the world (Ford+GM). As for the healthcare system that comes from European political views. The US system is not based on the government, it is based on a persons employer. In spite of the many claims made by certain people the vast majority of American have health insurance and this insurance affords many the best medical care in the world.

Trust me, I broke my leg severely while in Europe and got all the "wonderful" socialized healthcare you Europeans think is a model. It was pitiful, I laid in a hospital bed for 3 days waiting on a "specialist" and since a specialist had not said that my leg was indeed broken I was only given panadol for the pain. Afterwards the doctors decided that a limp would be acceptable for the rest of my life. I went to the US and had to have the leg re broken and fixed correctly.

A truly free society, where the government is not able to dictate market forces or force the public to purchase horrible little cars like they buy in Europe. No they do takw away free choice, by artificially raising the price of gasoline via excesive taxation they take away your freedom. No matter how you look at it your freedom to choose is being curtailed, its that same weather by law or by action of the government. Every aspect, how is that? You drive cars with engines as small as 1.0L, sorry but I don't want to drive a "horrible little econo box", here the government is forcing me to like they are in Europe.

European government use a number of different things in order to take away your freedom, sadly, many Europeans are either too stupid to notice or are in agreement with taking away people freedom. Just think about it, the REAL market value of gasoline is somewhere around 2-3$ per gallon, yet in Europe you can pay as much as $10. Do you really think the market would be the same if gasoline was allowed, per market forces, to be priced naturally? Nope!

Manual transmissions are for people who absolutely love to drive. Automatics are for people who just want to go to Point A to Point B. VW probably has the highest proportion of manual cars because VW buyers tend to love to drive and want a fun to drive car. I drive a Corolla myself because I prefer the reliability and fuel economy of a Toyota but I plan to upgrade the wheels and suspension to make it somewhat fun to drive. I'm not hating on anyone who drive automatics it's just a personal choice

You don't have to defend yourself, for in about 3 years, almost every car is going to be offered in Sport-mode automatic. Automated-manual will be the new stick, and Sport-mode automatic will become the new automatic.

manual can be fun though, but yea I bought an auto because i live in chicago, so traffic is a bitch and switching gears all the time gets annoying. But it doesn't matter you can make automatics just as fast as a manual, so its not much of a difference anymore atleast...

I prefer manual because u decide when to shift gear and u feel more in control, besides it feels more powerful. But I have to admit that the drag cars are automatic (a really powerful tranny, nothing cheap)and turbo auto is the perfect sleeper.

I wouldnt waste my money on a turbo automatic piece of crap corolla, at least a supra, MR2 (which I own), Evo, STI, or something, there are actually affordable turbo cars out there, not a auto corolla, and auto sucks mroe because you can shift at the perfect points. Gay
