  • Have you tried doing this standing up? I've been able to do this since I was a kid so I'm not sure how hard it is for someone who is learning. But how I do it standing up is putting my hands on my head and then the same thing you would do as if you are bent over :D

  • Your brain and body control is incredable!!

  • Wow - great practise. Didn't think we'd see this. It must have been a highly inspirational weeked with those two ladies! Great work! Loved watching.

Ana's approach is powerful, she is big advocate for emotional healing through yoga & has overcome much trauma including bulimia & drug addiction from her early years.

  • This is very good. You have all the hard parts down. A bit of practice will make the coordination easier. Did Ana present it as something beyond a cleansing practice?

mark- advanced workshop was "gravity surfing" hand balances, press handstand, inversions & seamless transitions. Much emphasis abdominal core strengthening (twisted root and supine frog crunches) and uddiyana bandha action. Nauli part was brief, duo stomach rolling demo impressive, nice intro-we all attempted in front of giant mirrors for few minutes in a HOT room full of sweaty people- get the picture? I was a newbie struggling with heat & modesty-did not like at the time.

  • @NelsonYogaInversions Do you think that belly dancers could benefit from practicing cleansing techniques such as this?

  • @Mr111989

Yes, think belly dancers WOULD benefit greatly from practicing nauli-- it's all about abs/stomach control, waves & rolling. I'm just a novice & took me forever to get any success. Feel the churning action as breath is held out & hands on thighs help to initiate the contractions. Best to try on empty stomach too.

May be like learning to wiggle ears, some people catch on quick & others like me are slow to grasp concept.

  • @NelsonYogaInversions That's true, but then again sometimes it can all boil down to how much time it takes to learn and how much you practice at it.

  • @Mr111989

    Absolutely agree 100%...!

  • @NelsonYogaInversions you have incredible control of your belly breathing it flows so perfect

  • @zedus456 ...i am just a beginner at controlling the belly, fun to play with but takes incredible dedication & practice to be great like a belly dancer, admire their skills not mine, but thanks so much just the same!
