PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really love this game and I cant play it cause it lags so much :( I have a 9600 nvidia geforce graphics card but a shitty AMD athlon core that came with my computer. What can I do to make this game run faster? Please help!

@mscooman probably you can reduce the screen viewing and remeber that this game was considered to have some bugs so try and mess a little bit with the graphics of the game and see what happens!

Also, Portugal called for British officers mainly to learn the new infantry organization/tactics. And this is why they hired Beresford and a bunch of other british officers. During the Peninsular campaign portuguese artillery was left with portuguese officers as they were considered on par if not above the british. The same worked for cavalry has the British lacked good cavalry commanders and they had nothing to teach there.

Beresford was the portuguese commander. But that doesnt mean by any means that he was the portuguese ruller or that he answered to Wellington who was the British commander. Beresford had its own chain of command under Portugal. For some battles and campaigns he was ordered by Portugal to work along with Wellington but that was it. For instance, by the time of Waterloo, Beresford himself wanted to send his troops to suppport Wellington but he had to beg for it and even then he could not.

And the spanish of course used this to once more to claim Portugal so they joined France and still... Portugal won!

AFAIK, second track name is Qntal - Maravillosos. Cántigas are the old galo-portugese collection of medieval songs and full name of that one is Cántiga CXXXIX Maravillosos E Piadosos. then spanish common people became angry and formed the guerrillas.

Bu the first(before the reconquest of Spain) were the Battles of Vimieiro, Bussaco and Linhas de Torres(wich expelled the French from Portugal, only staying in Spain for a while - even with victorious rise of Spanish guerrillas and its army, the French were not expelled yet from there), battles in Portugal were 25000 Portuguese(and more some hundreds) and 25000 British (around 52000 on total) expelled around 60000 French.

Actually you're wrong, The initial agreement between spain and france was to divide portugal between the two. Only after the french back stabbed spain did they join portugal and england against france.

When Godoy asked Portugal to honor its military alliance against the incoming french troops by securing its coastal ports he allowed the french army to pass through spain unchallenged to attack portugal from the rear, in a simple betrayal. He even sent 2 divisions to help the french. Look it up dude, honestly!

The reason i'm using english is that many people understand it and not that many understand the iberian languages. It is only polite to maintain the discussion understandable to the greatest number of people possible. The treaty of Fontainebleau is very much in context of the napoleonic peninsular war. The only reason there was no battle Portugal vs France/Spain was because the army was ordered not to antagonize the french, in a political move by the portuguese regent prince.

Dude, now you are just being obnoxious. I don't need to attract anyone to this discussion because i have already demonstrated that this battle would be a plausible scenario if the portuguese regent prince had told the army to fight when junot entered the country with 2 spanish divisions. The battle never happened because the portuguese regency did not decide to do it. The spanish were pretty much happy on Napoleon's side, shamelessly trying to get the french to do what they could never do alone.
