Great driving! Really fun to watch. Quick question: I notice that you lift entering the Kink. Do you do this out of necessity given your car's limits, your own desire for personal safety, or some other reason? I've watched a number of RA videos and some guys lift while some stay WOT. In retrospect I guess slower cars (miatas) or really fast cars like LeMans prototypes can stay WOT. Is the GT3 cup too quick for its lateral grip in that section? Just curious. Thanks.
Have to lift due to the car's limits. It reaches a speed before the kink that is too high to take it flat. A miata doesnt accelerate quick enough and a lemans prototype or other high down force formula car is capable of quicker high speed cornering.
Great driving Cory, my dad raced with you in the PCA race at V.I.R., he had the '72 911 #72 in GT3R, Chris Musante. It was not his best race weekend with some minor problelms with the car and minor mental problems. Great job though!
Nice drive. I just wonder if you delayed your downshifts just a hair you wouldn't hit the rev limiter on each downshift. The shift lights seem to come on every time and I wonder if it's not over-reving the motor just a bit from the mechanical effects. It's espcially noticable at Canada where you do 4 downshifts almost immediately.
Shit, time to play Forza.

The only thing better than Cory's driving is his character.

Nice going on that lap. It would have been even faster if you hadn't been slowed down by that guy goofing around on the racing line in turn 2.

Thanks, you doing any other PCA club races this year? We're heading up to the S.V.R.A. race at Watkins Glen in September.

Wow..2:15.7 very impressive! I apologize, didn't know the 07 Cup cars came with sequential shifters. Aren't the 06s standard shifters?
xarchangel517 4 years ago
Thanks! All the 997 cups have the sequential transmisions. First year was 05 for euro teams and 06 for US.
