All Disgaea games have that feature. It's one of the major attraction of the game. I spend almost a year on my DS to get Laharl to lvl 6500+. Go figure.

I´ve been playing Disgaea: Hour of darkness for ages now. Still enjoying myself so much; and the third game of the series looks as if they still improved all the geomoves and added lifting moves etc.

If you don´t like the strategic square system, try all the Grandia games!!!

Of course, if you´re one of the guys who insists on great graphics, disgaea is prob not the best choice (hour of darkness looks well like the good old SNES-games except improved "special effects" Very charming... :)

personally this game is SOOO worth buying, but that's just me. :P it really does depend on your personal preference.

Finishing this game at 100% is near impossible unless u got a lot of time of on ur hands, it takes 4ever...just like Disgaea 1 and 2 (hav you played them??) =D

There isn't a release date or any statement saying it'll be released in the UK at all yet. On the plus side though, most PS3 games are region free so you can just import the US version though you might miss out on downloadables.

It's a shame they didn't use some high-resolution art for the sprites...they're pretty washed out on the high-def backgrounds.

Still, Disgaea is about the gameplay. Along with LittleBigPlanet (and MGS4 which has passed), this is my most anticipated game of the year.

I don't think it looks terrible. Not every game has to have super realistic 3-D graphics to be fun. Besides, that is the Disgaea series signature look. I don't think I'd like it as much if it were in 3-D.

Just how many Disgaea's are there going to be? If it turns into a serier, then it'll become stale. Not only that, but I'm kind of sick of fan requests like, "Laharl should be in teh gam LOL". Disgaea is about wacky shit, not Laharl.

As for stradigy, you might want to play Final fantasy tactics, or Jagged alliance. Disgaea is way too out of the ordinary to be called an SRPG.

Just because Disgaea tends to do a lot of things different doesn't mean it shouldn't be called an SRPG.

Also, in recent interviews, it looks like "3" will be the last one in the series for a good while. And besides; the sequels haven't been annual like Mega Man or something; it's been every 2 years or so that a new game in the series came out.

However, I do agree that fans should stop whining for Laharl. Laharl's awesome, but he doesn't make the franchise.
