  • i find her attractive to bad she is in the biggest backstabbing ,ignorant cult in human history!!

  • @browndemon386 If you begin to learn about history you will discover that the Church s central to Western Civilization

  • great story! thanks so much for sharing! God Bless you!

  • May God Bless you dear Sister, I wish you a life of many blessings. How awesome to be a BRIDE OF JESUS CHRIST. Prayers for all your order, and I love the Habit.

    Ave Maria + + +

  • I'm sure you've all heard this a thousand times, but I'll say it again: What a shame they remove themselves from the company and presence of men who might need them. Instead, these men have no one.

  • @cubano680 But they don't love men they love God. Really, what is this selfish, egotistical notion that men have in saying stuff like that? Don't you think the woman has a say in who she loves and wants to devote her life too? Do you think marriage out of pity for those lonely "men" you speak of is preferable to pursuing what's in one's heart?

  • @cubano680 On the contrary, the men benefit more from their "removal" - sisters are able to better dedicate their lives to prayer for ALL souls exactly BECAUSE of their isolation.

  • I really like the story of this nun. Good for you! God Bless!

  • once i got the chance to stand beside 2 nuns in full habits.i was wearing jeans and n a headscarf, yet ppl stared at me as if i was oppressed and the nuns were people dedicated to god. im from a muslim country, have tons of muslim friends who dont wear a hijab, tons who do, i know nobody who was forced (im from southeast asia), and i definitely wasnt. i too felt some tugging in my heart to become closer to God, and wanted to please him. And still im not seen like someone dedicated to religion.

  • Do a search on, Sister Charlotte Keckler and The Black Veil

  • I don't like it that when Catholic women do this to commit themselves to God they're praised for their piety but when Muslim women do this they're called oppressed.

  • @verse1923 she's not a garden variety "catholic woman", she's a nun. common muslim without any religious titles women are forced into the burqa. BIG difference dude.

  • @zazfilm Muslim women don't need religious titles in order to devote themselves to God. And we're not forced.

  • @verse1923 I don't like how when Muslims ask for recognition in society, they are praised for expressing their "cultural values", but when a Catholic asks for the same recognition they are "forcing their beliefs on everyone"

  • @PrincessaSophie lol Muslims aren't praised for expressing themselves and their values, we're discriminated against. And muslim women freely choose to cover. You've obviously never spoken to a covering muslim woman. If you look at global muslim demographics, you'll see that over half of all muslims live in Asia which isn't patriarchal. Covering is even being banned in certain "muslim" countries (Egypt, Turkey, etc) which is horrible. So women definitely aren't forced.

  • @verse1923 It takes little more than a google search to find testimony from Muslim women who, contrary to your claim, were indeed forced to cover themselves on pain of physical harm or even excommunication. Evidently not all Muslim women are forced to cover; I never said that.

And your logical fallacy of "Covering is being banned in some places, so women are not being forced" is intellectually painful to read. It doesn't invalidate the experiences of real Muslim women.

  • @PrincessaSophie Using the "logic" that you used, I can also find stories of nuns who were forced into it. Doesn't help your point at all.

  • @verse1923 Ahaha, good one. If you are ever able to find such an account, do please note the date: probably hundreds and hundreds of years ago. This is interesting because of the uncanny ability of the Muslim world to emulate 7th century Europe. It is truly fascinating to observe a time capsule with so many people participating! =)

  • @PrincessaSophie You're really sad just go use Google.

  • @verse1923 And you're apparently unable to engage in an intellectual dialogue without resorting to attacks ad hominem. Don't bother commenting if you can't take the heat, sister!

  • @PrincessaSophie An observation that it's sad you can't use Google is not an ad hominem. Last thing I'll say to you: "One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad." --Sheldon Cooper

  • @verse1923 oh no....well tell that to the opressed women of afghanistan!

  • @verse1923 Additionally, it is not oppression because these women choose freely to become nuns. The vast majority of Muslims live in patriarchal societies in which they haven't any choice but to be "pious" because the alternative is physical harm from "well-meaning" male family.

  • she is awesome.

  • @lovemesweetifyschat she is from the Georgetown Visitation Sisters. She's also on facebook as Hermana Anna if you would like to get in contact with her. God bless you!

  • God Bless you sister!

  • CAN YOU TELL ME, WHICH ORDER ARE YOU? A HAPPY SISTER..

  • I take it this is more Catholic crap.

  • @Feisty1967 if by crap you mean veritas, then yes.it is.and it has been around for 200 years, and itll kepp on coming forever and ever.god bless. :)

  • @Feisty1967

    What's your issue with Catholics?

  • Comment removed

  • @iTsJuStMe44 what order is she?

  • Comment removed

  • Sadly, this video is emblematic of the seculariztion of Georgetown Visitation, once clositered, and now tied to the world...

  • @Maria33220, Georgetown Visitation has always been what's known as "semi-cloistered"...running their school has been part of their mission/apostolate since they were founded there in 1799. Some Visitation monasteries have schools and some do not; all are cloistered to some degree. The sisters in Georgetown only leave the monastery on school or community business - they're not running out to grab a cup of coffee or see a movie like communities that are considered mainly "active." Just FYI.

  • does anyone know what order she is?

  • The Lord spoke to me, and I avoided it thinking you can't be calling me Lord! but 33 years later I am a priest.

  • This video fairly ROCKS! :-) I love being Catholic. It's a lot more fun, and much more intellectually credible, than many people realize!

  • God bless you Sister! I can't wait to meet you soon I hope!

Totus tuus Maria! Let's see what the good God wills.

  • God bless you

  • hmm here we go, another memeber of the public jumping on the band wagon with this issue. You are obviously a slave to the media and have no ability to think for yourself. Becoming a Catholic means accepting the correct doctrine of the Christian faith and being in union with THE Church.

  • @bigbittern Sorry to disappoint you - I'm not a member of any church. I do not support any form of religion because, contrary to your accusation, I have more than enough ability to think for myself and don't need faith as a crutch to hobble through life with.

  • @privetgreetings:

You mean to say, of course, that you don't need faith, other than your faith that religious faith is based on illusions? After all, that would be the *logical* conclusion, if you are consistent in your reasoning...

  • @christianman73 Faith is for people who are not able to think for themselves.

  • @privetgreetings:

You are making an assertion about faith, not a well-reasoned argument, and actually, not even an argument of any kind. The fact is, you have *faith* that religious faith is based on illusions. Certain religions may, indeed, be based on illusions, but that is no proof that all of them are so based. The problem is that you haven't offered *any* proof or arguments . Again, you have only made assertions. This tactic would earn you a failing grade in Philosophy 101.

  • @christianman73 It's impossible to argue about things that don't exist.

  • @privetgreetings Nonsense. We can argue about unicorns and man-made global warming just as easily as we can argue about taxes and wood.

  • @Toribus Yikes, then we might as well throw in Santa Claus and the Tooth Fairy as well.

  • @privetgreetings how do you know?..If you don't have any.

  • @cymbeli If I don't have any what?

  • @privetgreetings Faith

  • @privetgreetings Faith is for people who THINK for themselves, and choose to Believe. As the Rush song goes: "if you choose not to make a choice, you still have made a choice." You think one way and don't believe; I, and most others, think and believe.

  • @burkardhanis Faith is for people who, as the song goes, "follow like sheep."

  • @privetgreetings just like school bus drivers and married men and a whole host of other males who are affected with this sickness, unfortunately there were the same percentage of Catholic clergy as are found in the general public victimizing children. Of course and anti-Catholic/Religion bigot like yourself will never get that. God grant you mercy when your arrive at your particular Judgment.

  • @burkardhanis My goodness, you're very judgmental! Remember your lord's warning about being the first to cast a stone?

  • @privetgreetings not judging you....Just asking the Lord to have mercy on you for your statements about others that you threw rocks at.

  • @burkardhanis Sorry, I'm not religious, so I can't be accused of going contrary to your teachings. Stop wasting your time praying and start DOING something constructive.

  • keep on living wih the lord... God bless you sister Anne :)

  • I remember Sr Eileen flipping up the back of my plaid pleated skirt and smacking my thighs raw. The humiliation was rather delicious, actually.

  • This woman is awesome. God bless you, sister.

  • At the end the Nun says there is justice, well she is spot on.

Catholic order pays out for abuse

A Catholic religious order is to supply a 161m euros (£145m) package of measures as reparation for child abuse in Ireland.

The Christian Brothers said the decision had been taken in response to the Ryan report which revealed decades of abuse at religious institutions."

  • Thank you so much for sharing! I love to hear stories of women who have already dedicated their lives to God. I can't wait for the day when I can share mine!

    Totus tuus Maria!

  • GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WORK SISTER,

  • They take off their dress (which is called a habit) when they go to bed, and shower.

They cannot get married. The are married to God.

    They can not have children/

The Pope is married to the Church. So he cannot get married.

  • Few questions guys hope somebody can answer?

When can they take that dress off ?

    Can they get married?

Can a nun have a baby?

and finally what about pope. Is he allowed to get married ?

  • where are the other interviews?

  • she is beautiful and truly liberated! There isnt much a difference between muslim women and catholic nuns. Only difference is that we can have children. Im so happy for my christian sister praise the Lord

  • i respect you for this.... u're so amazing.

  • I have nothing but respect for my sista's!!! :)

  • ps: notice shes wearing a Veil=Hijab!! why are muslim women picked on for wearing the same thing? theres nuthin wrong with christian women wearing hijabs in public either! it shows modesty, and self respect ! and chicks look cute in hijabs! it highlites the face!!

  • nuns CHOOSE to wear the habit. muslim women are FORCED with violence to wear hijab.

a subtle difference, don't you think?

  • johnbourbon..............thats not true in most cases. most Muslim chicks i ever met chose freely to wear the hijab ecause they feel more respectable. but you have a point. the Saudi Wahabis will force the veil on women. so will Taliban.

  • @johnbourbon No they are not forced in a modern country. And yes nuns choose to wear the habit but the tradition of the order will stand above them . very few religious wear the traditional habit any more.

  • @Whipplets so nowhere in the world are women forced to wear hijab? is that what you're actually trying to tell me?

  • Comment removed

  • that's very interesting. you feel more safe in your Habit?

  • @johnbourbon

    Hi John

Yes in many ways I feel safer in my Habit as Muslim women will feel that being covered gives a freedom unexpected. This is so for all my sisters be they Muslim or Christian.

    respect is a very interesting thing. Easier to give when draped so elegantly. And often given simply because we are who we are.I think much has been lost for women.{This is my opinion}

  • @johnbourbon Well I will try this again.

    I keep losing it.

Yes I feel safer in My habit as Muslim women will feel safer in Hijib. Faith and comfort.

Much has been lost for both men & women respect for both is not as it could be.

One can only hope that in the future we will grow up and be better then we are now. I have replied twice. I hope they all don't show up. I made some sort of mistake hitting reply.

    Peace and Blessings

  • theres nuthin wrong with modern nuns wearing makeup! God gave her face! show it off i say!!

  • You have to understand the meaning of the habit, and the meaning of not wearing make-up.

  • makeup contradicts their modesty. Women were makeup to look attractive, that is not what nuns are suppose to strive for. They are women of God for Christ sake

  • "avoiding the sisters, i think iam avoiding something in my heart..." i feel it the same way what you can avice to me? iam aspire too of becoming. but i had anxiety.

  • don't worry, pray to the Lord, he will lead you, I myself passed through a phase where I believed God didn't exist, and I wanted nothing to do with the "lies", but with His help, and only with that, I found Him again, and now I am trying to figure out my vocation as well.....give it time, and whatever you do, don't hide it, let it grow, and talk to nuns if you can, they can really help you! God bless you :D

  • @6MemoryOfForever9, Your story sounds similar to mine. For a time I considered myself to be an atheist. What a turn around! What a journey! I feel that God is calling me into a vocation as well and I am slowly beginning the process of figuring out where specifically I fit into the life of the Church. It's one of the most amazing experiences I've ever had in my life. With His guidance I believe I will find my place. God bless you! Good luck in your discernment! :)

  • I just visited the Carmelites today, I'm progressing a lot!! ^_^ yay me! I'm considering entering with them , they're just amazing *_*

thanks a lot, and God bless you too, I see He already did :) please update me from time to time about your improvement, it's such an encouragement to see others find their way in God's plans, whatever they are.

  • Cool. A vocation nowadays is a real miracle, God working powerfully to awaken a person from our collective somnolence, awaken them to the heart of Reality.

  • ah the visitations in georgetown section of washington, d.c.
