  • Love it! Great job

  • I know it isn't perfect, but it's Mario paint, IT CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH!

I like to think of this is a remix of sorts.

  • Is this the megaman... Oh wait, its for the older game. Still good. I was thinkin of MMS2ZXN and MMS2ZXS

    the two megaman starforce games.

  • Great stuff!

  • Omg!

  • I think it's perfect, I've played this game many of times.

  • A couple of flat notes, but nice.

  • about as good as itll get on mpc! nice job!

  • Oh really?

    You just wait...

  • 0:34 to 0:39

Dude, low A glitches. Definitely needed them there. The notes weren't meant to be THAT connected.

  • awesome, best one ive heard!

  • Nice job!

  • The only thing really wrong with this is some of the held notes are clashing into each other, making it sound like one longer note instead of two separate notes. Everything else is great though.

  • I heard some timing issues in the organ intro, and at 0:25 -- wrong note. Like, I winced a little. Remember, part of this comes from having done the song myself a while ago, so don't take it too personally. I'll probably be on the case of your Snake Man and Spark Man pieces, too...

    Otherwise, great.

  • You mean the F right? The midi shows a High F#, and the highest I can go is a high F with the Gameboy (at the low octave, the "B" and "C" are the high "D" and high "E" respectively), and thus I wasn't able to reach it, so I had to bring that one frickin' note an octave lower :-/.

  • I obviously messed up in mine, since I worked by ear. I lowered it an octave, too, but I left the F natural (and its harmony was C#) Then again, now that I've learned more about music theory, I can see that F and C# are not harmonies in any way....

    lol Tigerfail.

  • @angrytigerP The highest he can go in this program is a C Major.

  • @BusterBeetleX I understand that, seeing as how I'm a regular user of it myself (and it's C 'sharp', not 'major'), but in that case he would have been better served placing the note it was 'supposed' to be an octave lower and trust listener's auditory memory to fill in the blank (so to speak) than to use a blatantly incorrect note and draw attention to the fact that it is not the right note.

  • @angrytigerP Thanks for clearing that-- and my mistake-- up.

  • post soundfont plz?

  • @azerkablam: What I do is in Viena, create a new soundfont, give it a name (duh), and if you want instruments from different soundfonts, go to New Prefs, and then copy the specific instrument from the other soundfonts (you have to open the other soundfonts in the other 3 tabs).

That way you can have instruments from Satoshi's Orchestra mixed in with Cat's Real, since they use different instruments. It helps if you want to be specific in your compositions.

  • I'm not sure why you changed the heart to the coin, but this is pretty epic!

  • Heart = Default Soundset Heart

Coin = Low octave Heart from Kraid, you can seldom hear the lower octave from Orchestra 1.08, but the one he used for his Kraid composition had more sustain to it I found, so I set it up to have a 3 octave ranged heart as well as the gameboys.

  • The only reason I mentioned that was because you could hear the coin-hearts intersecting sometimes. Don't worry though, it's fine.
