  • I've answered a fire call where someone mis-judged it, and split his foot lengthwise, in a logging boot.

  • This is just beautiful

  • What were the axes used in this video?

  • @TS175 It's called a KEECH racing Axe. It's made specifically for wood cutting competitions. Like a lumberjack sport. The same way special bows are made for olympic archery, and special guns for speed shooting. A racing Axe is far more expensive than a normal one,and it's blade is planed to bite as deep as possible into the wood and it's shaving sharp. They are hand made axes. Pretty much the best wood cutting axe you can buy.

  • that axe just eats that wood like its a appetizer

  • A Good axeman knows how to judge distance and keeps his feet safe, nice chopping man, beautiful axe as well.

  • Woah that axe came within millimetres of your foot several times!

  • Awesome!

  • What is the point of chopping from the top of the log like that? I have been cutting timbers with axes for various projects for a few years now, and I have never seen where this technique would be practical.

  • That is a serious axe. I have to ask though, what kind of wood is that? It looks a little soft, maybe the axe is just that good though, and of course we can't put it all on the axe, you are a good lumberjack as well.

  • Put on some shinguards, man

  • jeeze chrispybustard , you could damage a good axe that way!

  • I'd rather damage an axe blade than destroy be feet, even if the axe is a tuey.

  • i was joking lol, although we never wear foot protection in the uk for the unerhands, i do wear the chainmail socks for the standing

  • @HedgehogChopper alot of the old fellas over here in n.z don't wear them, but I'm still young, I would like to have my feet for a while haha.

  • Dunno exactly but my guess would be some kind of pine- or poplar-wood.

Annywayz, good thing hes protective footwear.

    ^-^

  • * wearing

  • First log is oak. Then it goes back and forth from yellow poplar and aspen.

  • what kind of wood is that?

  • which bit, the axeman or the new zealand axe ? LOL

only funning you, just wish my axe would go in that far

  • man i love america
