  • The original Brick Breaker (6:10)

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING

  • Basketball scene reminds me of the chirping during American History X...

  • Comment removed

  • Hahah that is funny. I mean they should remake ghost writer because Degrassi is still around and it's still pretty popular.

  • Oh the 90's were sooo awesome!! I used to watch this show over my Grandma's house and set up paper and pencils to get the "clues".

  • Did Jamal and Lenny ever hook up ?

  • I always thought that I should marry Alex.....LMao.....loved this show....tha guy in comics episode played with Arnold Schwarznegger...these were some big tymers!!!!!

  • That Children's Television Workshop intro sound ... brings back memories!

  • @eddyjonez me too!

  • hahaha, nice to see our adolescent stupidity. two blokes claiming to be the better basketball player, standing on a basketball field, with a basketball - "What can we do about it? F***ing fight, that's right!"

  • hey!! it's Ben Seaver from Growing Pains!

  • @aklpanda I was just telling myself he looks familiar and couldn't place the show!

  • Why do I feel like I'm back in the 90s like this whole decade never happened? These are some great shows, looking at it, feels like it just happened an hour ago, man I miss my childhood!

  • Lenni's picture looks like she has a powdy face. LMAO!

  • LOL Jamal thought that game was "really wild" haha he'd like die if he played halo or something.

  • I had such a crush on ALEX who lived about the bodega!

  • @DarlingNikki44 I had a huge crush on both Rob and Alex when the show use to be on to bad they don't come back it but with new characters and stories

  • go to image movie datebase(IMDB) website to look up this series, actors and all the episodes

  • Not every bad guy says that, but many of them do (think Scooby Doo). This was my favorite show as a kid. Every Sunday I would rush to finish my dinner, so that I could get to my room turn on PBS and watch GW. I just wish they kept the original Gabby, still a great show nonetheless.

  • So much sexual tension between Lenni and Jamal... lol... I used to love Lenni when I was a kid tho

  • Jeremy Miller FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow it's amazing to see this show again. It's only been 18 yrs since I first started watching it and it's such a nostalgia trip to see it again. Kids today will never get the kind to tv we had back in the early 90's. There were so many great shows for kids that celebrated being a kid and showed such great diversity. Tv for kids these days is such mindless crap, but thanks to the internet we can show the youngins what good tv is.

  • wow i miss this show.

  • you NEVER see any commercials or tv shows these days telling kids to exercise their minds by reading.

  • I remember being 7 or 8 watching this lmao. I even wore a sharpie on a string around my neck hoping the ghost writer wld let me help the kids solve mysteries, is that the kid from Growing Pains ? haha 3:25

  • I remember being 7 or 8 watching this lmao. I even wore a sharpie on a string around my neck hoping the ghost writer wld let me help the kids solve mysteries

  • 5:33

The only time Mr. Brinker behaves even remotely decently.

  • Every Sunday! I am pretty sure I had some *Ghostwriter* stuff in my little diary I used to keep when I was 13. HAHAHA Good show. Thanks for the uploads!

  • "Now you show me yours!"

    Well, it's only fair!

  • Well GW, it usually means someone is going "waaahhh" over someone posting something on Youtube that belongs to them. Regardless of the fact that it's free promotion and Youtube doesn't make money off of it.

  • @SeanTheOriginal Really if some of these people had a little sense, they'd realize if the people with money see this when they never heard of it before they could hook a lot of new buyers. NOBODY is going to buy DVDs of something they don't know anything about. And cheap promos don't show what needs to be seen.

  • @Miracle490d Well, that's understood. But still, I would love to own some of their stuff. I only have two of the books, and I want em all. :)

  • one of the best shows from my childhood...wish they would bring something similar back on for my kids to watch!!

  • Man, when did TV shows start going downhill? I mean, this show was great, but now...

  • Its amazign how all these educational shows are taken off air and now all we get is who wants to marry such and such for the love of such and such, reruns and reruns of crain killing shows. IIf kids today knew what kids back in the day of ghostwriter watched they would say damn my childhood sucks, i cant go outside without fear of being shot, or kidnapped, and i cant watch educational programs on TV SMH

  • I'm literally cracking up laughing because I used to LOVE this show so much. I'm 28 now, so just understand that this show was everything to me and my friends back then. Why aren't there any more shows like this for kids and teens? The crap they show now is stupid as hell!! When I have kids, I will be honored to show them this series on dvd and not the horrid crap they show now.

  • Wow, they grew up so fast during the 3 years of the show! Well. that's puberty for ya!

  • I think the way they ended this show was bad

  • What I can't figure out, is why PBS would make a show like this, and get kids interested in reading, while at the same time having a show like Barney, that makes kids stupid.

  • i love this show but he said to promise not to tell someone about ghost writer.

how is anyone going to explain ghost writer to anyone?

  • This show is so awesome. I remember watching this along with Aurther and Zaboomafoo most weeknights. Most of the shows now are just rediculous.

  • Loved this show as a kid. I remember scarfing down my dinner on Sunday evenings just so I could rush to my room and watch GW. I am a big fan of mystery/whodunit shows and movies. Looking back the show definitely had its cheesy moments, but the positives far outweighed the negatives.

  • I still love this show and I'm 26 years old now. They don't make shows like these anymore.

  • @eddyjonez I agree, I wish they would bring this back with the next generation!

  • i love how jamal breaks up the fight even though he's a foot shorter than either of the guys.

  • This show was my shit back in the day..thanks for posting :)

  • Those were the days where "cool people" wore overalls.

  • tina's mean not letting gaby be involved

  • God, watching this makes me feel so fucking old.

    Ghostwriter....WORD!

  • Wtf I forgot Jeremy Miller aka Ben from Growing Pains was on the show. Ghostwriter had a few early 90s celebs like Mark Linn-Baker aka Larry Appleton from Perfect Strangers, Max Wright aka Willie Tanner from Alf, Marcella Lowery from The Cosby Show and City Guys...... The only people I could remember on the show till this day is Julia Stiles, Salt n Pepa, Spike Lee and Robin Leach. I was pissed when I was a kid when this show got cancelled. I miss the early 90s.

  • Wow, he called him Chump! This is Wesley Snipes vs Woody Harrelson, the junior years! "Your mother was an astronaut!" lol

  • I got the whole serie.. :D pm me for more details!

  • Give me the days when people determind their place in society through sports and not beating the shit out of each other.

  • I used to have a huge crush on Lennie

  • I always thought that lenni and jamal were meant to be together.

  • @Kabman89 totally. i never noticed it back in the day, but now i re-watch it i don't know how i missed it

  • Oh my GOSH this is my ISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • when will the racism end?

  • @leixh Unfortunately never :( but is on us to keep trying to eliminated by education one person at a time :)

  • a black guy did it

  • It's "Ghostwriter". Season 1 will be available on DVD on June 8, 2010.

  • This was the show when I was little!! Omg I would watch this everyday after school. and sometimes which a ghost would come and talk to me!!

  • i remember this episode. look how young they look.

  • Oh yeah, I even had a crush on Alex ;)

  • OMG!! I always use to watch this show.

I even thought I was all bad cuz I had a pen on a string like them. Lol

  • yea i love Ghostwriter me & cousin Stacey used to watch this on Fridays at 6&7 PM.

  • the dad from ALF!

  • this was a cool show.

but i dont think u would see that many white kids in that part of brooklyn back when this show was made....

  • @mariusbleek u don't see many these days either.

  • Wow this show makes u forget your learning what a great show!

  • I first saw this in third grade, they even had they're own magazine...

after that, I was taping it off PBS, I loved it so.

Now, 16 years later, when my sister and I found out that they have it here on YouTube, we spent hours of the weekend watching it again...

  • man this was what i would look forward to after school everyday lol.

  • It's so weird watching this show now I feel old lol!

  • jamal = mike ross

  • I think it is funny that Ghostwriter (as old as he is) doesn't know what "infringement" means especially when he can just whiz by a dictionary and get the definition.

  • well he was around before that law was made. so of course he doesnt know what it means. Plus i doubt any of the kids have any papers on copyright infringement. and since he hangs around them....

  • ur gay just for attempting to defend that statement

  • i thought this was episode 2, not ep. 6

    idk i might be wrong?

  • It's the 2nd string of episodes, the 6th overall.

Ghost Story was composed of five episodes.

  • This was originally suppose to be the first episode but they decided to add ghost story at the last minute. You can tell if you compare their size and how old they look.

  • hey in the begining of the show the boy who wants to play basketball isnt that the son from growning pains

  • Yea, back when I moved to the Bronx in 1994 as a kid with no cable. This show made it easier to cope with living in new york having moved from sunny nickelodeon californian neighborhoods. They always had a character on here you could relate too. This and Superhuman Samurai was my shit.

  • I thought alex was so FUCKING HOTT. lol

  • i <3 jeremy miller!!!!

    and alex lol

  • Wow, 17 years later. This show dosen't get old. They are all grown up now.

  • I watched it every saturday morning after the cartoons.

Every weekday i watched reruins on PBS before the mllienium came

  • I watched this series when I was four!

wow, I can't believe I remembered enough to find the series.

  • I watched this is my 4th grade class. We just never watched it often enough for me to see an entire epidose.

  • Wow! This show takes me back to 3rd grade. Watching this on PBS on Sundays.

  • YAY JEREMY MILLER!!!!!!!!

  • LMAO! "No! You may NOT get in the next game, mullet."

  • i gotta big nostalgia thing going on here, but in retrospect this truly was a great show. multicultural, pluralistic, and working class. they don't make em like these anymore

  • YES!!! I agree so strongly. I can't believe this show is still entertaining to me at 23.

  • URE ONLY 23 U MUST HAVE CAUGHT THE REPEATS CUZ ILL BE 26 IN A COUPLE DAYZ AND I WAS ON THIS hardbody waiting every sunday lol but i love going back in time thanks youtube

  • @oshkoshbigosh22 I know what you mean. Even the best of today's shows aren't as awesome. This is bringing back so many memories.

  • @oshkoshbigosh22 yeah the only porblem with this show was that every time the show eneded the "bad guy" of the story would say and i would have gotten away with it too if it had not been for you meddleing kids.

  • this was my show when i was a child

  • they look younger in this episode than the first one GHOSTSTORY. maybe this was taped before hte "first epsiode of Ghostory"

  • @sungi9 i read that this episode was supposed to be the first one but the producers wanted to have a better intro of the characters so they filmed Ghost Story afterward

  • it was

  • makes perfect sense :)

  • Aww! They look so young! lol!!! :)

  • they used to look so much older.

  • i thought so too when i was young.

  • I always thought they were in high school and incredibly older than me. Except now it's obvious that they're in, like, middle school.

  • the stussy cap that jamal rocks is pretty fly..

  • i loved this show soooo much when i was little!

  • i loved this show

  • i used to watch it at nights when i was 5, such good memories

  • lol at tina having to lug around that big camera all the time.

  • its funny how all of a sudden jamal tries to act so gangsta. LOL

  • Mr. Brinker was a hustler.

  • or a pedophile...

  • That goofy ass blonde haired white boy! He's from growing pains!

  • I burnt down Mr Brinker's store. I was never caught mwahahaha

  • man this was my show getting early sunday mourning before i go to church too watch this and carmen san diego.

  • I used to watch it after church and after school, good times...

  • Max Wright iz a fuckin bamma. But he sure played a good asshole in thiz one!

  • LOLOL

  • Max Wright where the fuck let Alf and your family

  • i aint seen this shit in fuckin years

  • This episdoe was originally written as the pilot for the series. You'll notice they look a little younger than in GhostStory what we know to be the "first" episode - and they filmed in actual houses instead of a sound stage. They wrote GS at the last minute, made that the pilot and moved this one to second place.

The "new" pilot ghoststory worked much better to start of the series than this one. Seeing the kids discover GW one by one gave it a lot more energy.

  • omg i used to watch this show back in the day...memories.i loved this show.

  • it is old show, this show was around the 90's. And before then, they didn't have tech or anything, till they made the show. i think its awesome, but i don't get carried away in it. although i do find it interesting. try looking up the show on a site like google, and get to know their real names.

  • i wish my last name was turnipseed :P

  • HEY! That was Ben Seaver from Growing Pains?!!

  • ya i think so and the owner of the video store was max wright better known as willy tanner from alf

  • Why does Jamal sound like he's 30? I remember being a kid and owning my own sharpie that I wore around my neck.

  • i think he sounds a lot like Theo from The cosby show

  • lol "like he's 30"..lol

  • homeboy is older than everyone else on the show he was like 15 when they was 11 and 12, etc, thats why he sound old

  • did anybody else see keroppi on tina's clipboard?!

    dang that's old school.

  • jamal was cheesin' HELLA hard in his school pics!

  • LOL@jamal saying that video game was wild. If you thinks thats wild you should see what we have now Xbox360 and Playstation 3 would blow your mind.

  • OMG look how little and cute Tina,Gabby and Leni are!

  • lol this show brings back memories i used to watch this all the time when i was little

  • the "CHILDRENS TELEVISION WORKSHOP" shit at the beginning is the greatest thing ive ever seen!!!

  • This show is too godlike.

  • did lenni grow shorter or is gaby taller

  • i used to be scared of this show lol so funny

  • I didn't understand it at first. But I began watching the show 10 years ago when The N first came to television. Ghostwriter is just amazing!!! I had a dream about this show last night and I hope they make this into a film like they did with Get Smart.

  • keoropi clip board!

  • i remember this on the old classic NOGGIN channel before it became that stupid preschool shit channel the only good thing on nickeldon noggin now is Franklin and Little Bear cartoons that other crap sucks!

  • Yes it was taped before the first episode. They decided to tape "Ghost Story" as an explanation for how the team got together and met Ghostwriter.

  • Is it me or do the kids look really really young in this episode. Almost as if they shot this before the actual first episode of the series.

  • hahaah damn! i used to see them soooooo olderr when i was a kid, like 10 yrs ago! hahahahh ...

  • He was on Growing Pains Imeirowski.

  • omg i have not seen this show in years damn i miss being a kid !!!

  • look at jamal mediating between the big guys. You do that Jamal!

  • This makes me miss being a kid *tear*..

  • Wow, could th flirting between Jamal and Lenni be anymore intense?

  • this benchwarmer here thinks he's a playa.

you can't deal with my game.

  • chill momo, he's cool.

  • There were copyright infringements during this time? Woah.

  • OH MAN, THIS WAS THE SHIT!

  • it would be a lot easier to navigate these if you make each video a response to the one before it. That way we dont have to worry about clicking in the wrong order by accident. or you could make a notation at the end click here for the next episode.

  • i loved this show as a kid

  • Dag, Jamal ain't have to dog her like that! I died laughing when i saw that pic, she could have smiled!

  • life ws so simple then. wut ever happenen to this cast?

  • Thank you so much for posting these! This was my very favorite show when I was younger. I had a pen on a string and a ghostwriter etch a sketch. ;) Thanks for the memories.

  • notice Tina is the opening credits, however she doesn't join the team until later in this case.

  • Tina was already going to be on the show, so the producers included her in the credits.

  • I loved those pens that they had.

They need to put shows like this back on the air.

  • Did these kids from this show ever get involved into anymore acting after this show was finished or was just a one time show part time job type of acting.?
