It is first a new way to think of and view the world. and the only person that can accept this new theory will soley be the self. The individual has to first accpet it. Anyone who might not prefer a RBE would be free to live their life un-coerced by anyone.

His hope is that once enough people have "proven" the concept, the rest of the world will get on board and reap the supposed benefits. He hopes to "educate" the world out of a monetary system. From his interviews, he has no desire of forcibly installing the system; he's trying to sell the idea to a large enough base to get it started.

@bigJ09z There is no "human nature" as you speak of it to hinder humanity in that way. Hoarding and greed result from scarcity and the status associated with having material goods. It's learned. Human nature- if they can be said to have a "nature" at all- is to defy having one nature, to learn, to be adaptable, and this can lead to both advancement, and social ruts thaat we find hard "un-learn" for our own health (fast food, etc.). But always wanting more is not a human characteristic outright.

The Venus Project (which the Zeitgeist Movement promotes, assuming you haven't done any research) is the next step in the evolution of society. It's nothing more than a way to manage our resources in an intelligent manner with human life as the main concern. You are free to choose to participate or to live by your own means, but just like for the Amish, it would be a more difficult way to live

It is first a new way to think of and view the world. and the only person that can accept this new theory will soley be the self. The individual has to first accpet it. So what will be done to the people that will stand in the way? They will continue to live the way they have been conditioned to, and that will be based off of the choice they have made.

@secularstupidest A Resource-Based Economy is only possible if the world works towards this goal voluntarily. If people do not choose a world of prosperity, peace and freedom, in a voluntary society without class structure, poverty, elitism or war, then the RBE will not be possible. TZM and TVP advocate a holographic structure for change, with no leaders, no armies, no rulers, and no violence whatsoever. Anyone who might not prefer a RBE would be free to live their life un-coerced by anyone.

His hope is that once enough people have "proven" the concept, the rest of the world will get on board and reap the supposed benefits. He hopes to "educate" the world out of a monetary system. From his interviews, he has no desire of forcibly installing the system; he's trying to sell the idea to a large enough base to get it started.

But would you agree that the current economic system is systematically dismanteling this planet and our way of life? i do follow the zeitgeist movement and do advocate it in many ways, for the simple reason that the current way we conduct ourselves is simply not working. But I also believe that humanity has become so ripped apart that if we are ever to get on the right path, we need some event to bring us to our knees.

There are human NEEDS, such as food, warmth, shelter, love that are shared by all humans.
