i tried this on my electric and im a beginner and when i tuned my guitar (and i know it was tuned) it sounded so acoustic guitar, nothing like yours, how do i make it sound electric like yours?

@mkkhayter101 add some distortion..and check your amp volume, if you have a beginner amp then you may need a bit more volume. and get a peavey vypyr for ur next amp ;D

How do you do strumming like that while only hitting the two strings? Every time I try I end up hitting them all. Any suggestions?

@xGTxWaGoN03 Great question, to avoid the unwanted strings in power chords you need to dampen them with your first finger. Make sure you dont actually fret the notes underneath though. Use the tip of your index finger to mute the E. It takes some time for it to become natural but its the way its done. Good luck!~

ive been playing on a acoustic guitar for 3 months and im thinking about buying a electric guitar aswell, so what i want to know is which one is harder to play? an electric or acoustic?

@DennisCoban you'll probably find that it's much easier on your fingers using an electric. They are two different instruments imo so it may take you a week or so to get used to the feel of the electric. I think it would be more difficult going from elec -> acoustic.

@DennisCoban Well, since you've already got the heaps of playing acoustic, so if u want to play an electric, it won't be any harder if ur playing the same thing like u did on the acoustic.. But if u wanna play scales or licks on the electric... definitely it is much harder than just strumming chords.. =) Hope this helps
