Very nice!! this has helped me improve, i started this winter Check out my work on on facebook if you have time i have alot of my pots on there search Blue Earth Pottery, thanks
Watch Simon Leach... he does something similar. I always assumed he was just rapidly changing his viewing perspective to ensure symmetry, but it could just be a subconscious thing.
You are very very talented. I am in ceramics 2 in school and I understand how much work and effort it takes to create such a masterpiece. But what you did is just amazing
The finish product is absolutely amazing, you take the size of wheel throwing to another level. I started throwing last week. Hoping to be able to make big vases eventually
I am a High School student that is currentlly taking ceramics, I would just like to say that your work is incerdible and i will keep looking to your works for insperation.
Hello, Roys prices are reasonable but you would need to contact him directly for specific prices.
He has various websites - just type his name in Goggle and a bunch of websites will show up. Roy is very approachable and friendly so e-mail him with questions. He is wonderful teacher also. I have been taking lessons from him for years and I am constantly amazed by his creativity.
OK! Throwing Competition! One peace of clay 25 pounds or less, who can throw the, tallest, widest, biggest, cleanest, nicest, best shaped vase! Winner is immortalized on U-Tube forever. Every one can judge six months from now. 8/12/09. So on 2/12/09 we will tally the votes. Label the video Throwing Competition and your name. I will favorite your entry so all can see. Also when you have an entry subscribe to my Channel and I will add your video.
those are amazing! I bet he has to be VERY careful when they're in the bony dry stage... you accidentally knock it over, and it would break. what a pain that would be.
it is form of art. 1 spin on the wheel is each "nod". by nodding my head, I'm able to be "one" with the wheel and my work, it helps me focus as well as go into a trance. Kunisaki Roy Yuichiro
Thank you for all of your nice comments. I've committed my life to perfecting the skill for many years.Unfortunatly, I don't know if I can make large pieces do to bad wrist and shoulder by making these.
Insperation wow. I play guitar as well doing potery and i would like to know what song was that playing during the video and can you give me some other artists that play that same style.
beautiful work, there's nothing quite like watching someone throw with porcelain. very interesting technique putting 2 vases together like that, wish we could have seen all of the steps
