  • whats the name in the default iphone system UI sound of the dock in sound?

  • where can i find root/system/library/audio/UISounds"

    ???

  • My homies: will I get jailed if I dl hacked apps? Please help. _- 1 confused homie

  • I'm guessing this works on the iPod Touch? (version 2)

  • say man when i tried to rename it in the uisounds folder to unlock.caf i got an error message that said i couldnt rename it if u know why i would appreciate it

  • sorry it took so long... it might be because the file was in use? not sure... try closing all other applications after your done with them (even itunes) and just try and keep open what you need immidently during that time

  • I figured it out but i cabt remeber exaclty what i did but any way man great tutorial appreciate it

    5/5 keep it up

  • nvm i got it thanks

  • i know what u mean but u see how on your computer it says pacman.aiff mine just says pacman on the icon it shows that its aiff and in properties but how do i change it to .caf if it it doesn't show in the name part

  • goint my computer, click tools, click folder option then click the view tab then uncheck "view known file extentions".

  • when i convert it and stuff my music never shows the.aif or w/e it jus has the name of the song or w/e so how can i change it to .caf if i caant even erase the .aif part and type .caf in

  • since i cant see exactly what your doing... i'll have to guess your looking for the .aif file on the desktop... as long as you followed the previous steps and converted it in iTunes than your fine and it will be in .aif format... the best place to change it is when you've already placed the new file inside the folder you need it in and than change it to the "lock.caf" or whatever file you want to change, hopefully this helps.. and right click on the file and go to properties to see the file type

  • haha, yea... thats what i figured it was before I read this second comment... glad you got it to work... everything else work?

  • was wondering on another video you have. you have the transformers sound but its slightly different than the ones i find on the internet was wondering where you got it or if you made it sounds more like they are transforming into their vehicles rather than going to giant robots if you know what i mean, basically it fits the lock rather than the unlock. Thanks

  • Your exactly right actually... All I did was reverse the sound using the audacity program I have talked about in my videos... Basically I turn the sound around backwards... Hope this helps

  • sorry it took so long for me to get back to you... to get them in .caf files (after you have converted them to .aiff in iTunes) all you need to do is put them in the correct folder and change it so it says something like "unlock.caf" or "lock.caf" etc, etc... also your video response diddn't have any sound? so hopefully I answered everything you were asking about

  • ....and it doesnt work, i changed my lock and unlock sounds but even after restarting, they r still the CLICK noises, not mine..:( whats wrong with it??

  • could be that you diddnt change them to a .caf file? ummm... wrong folder maybe? not sure unless I was looking at it...

  • oh oh oh, just remembered a problem I had a bit ago with sounds, if you changed them to a .caf BEFORE you put them in the folder, they will be something like .aif.caf ... just remove the .aif part so it looks like "unlock.caf"

  • i double checked it and its exactly as u sed, does it matter that i have 1st gen 2.2.1 jailbroken.

  • no, because thats exactly what im running

  • hmm, i have no idea what could be the problem, and just now i tried to put applications on, and did it exactly how the guy sed, with the permissions set right and still they dont show up....

  • Thanks man, i edited the ps3 theme to make it a white ps3, to match my real one (oh yeh) and needed this tutorial for the finishing touches thanks a million.

  • thanks

  • i have a mac any help???

  • sorry... dont know... but i would imagine that you could follow around the same guidelines...

  • glad to hear!

  • my itunes 8 is not letting me convert anything to .aiff. Could u tell me another way to convert it?

  • ok... you dont do it the same was as i previously thought on itunes 8... you have to go "Edit"..."Preferences"...click on the "General Tab"... go to "Import settings" than change "Import using:" to "AIFF Encoder"... this should solve your problem!

  • like my pac-man folder?

  • I did everything like you said and i cant get it to work. idk what the problem is, I have all the newest versions I just bought the phone last week. I also tried other videos as well and I cant customize my own sounds. but I can get the themes to work.

  • ok, so what exactly is happening? can you not find folders? are you doing everything right and it's still not working? give me some details and maybe i can figure it out

  • yea I followed the video to a T, and it still doesnt work.

  • Im still kind of confused as to "doesent work"... kinda a broad term... have you found all of the folders? could you not download something? If you want you can message me with exactly your problem and hopefully I can walk you through it

  • thanks you its work =^)

  • no problem :-)

  • my itunes 8 is not letting me convert anything to .aiff, and i think that is giving me the issues i am having. now, i cannot get it working and its making me sad.

How do i set other sounds, like incoming message or whatever? And will they stop when an action is taken? (like the default sounds. ToneFX did not do this, so they kept playing)

  • You set other sounds just like you did this one... the same folder holds all the system sounds... so just find the one you want to replace and replace it... as for iTunes 8.... im not sure if there is an issue or not... i'll have to look into it later to see if there is a way around that or if it is just your computer

  • you just get whatever sounds you like... import them from a file you already have... go find one on the internet... whatever you want... the theme that I use is called iGlassSol... but I have modified things inside the folder to make them my pac-man theme... I also now have a Street Fighter Theme

  • works in 2.2.1? S:

  • I think so? haha... Nothing in this video will "hurt" your iPhone as long as you back up your files... so you have nothing to lose if you try it anyways... if you do try it and it works please leave me a message so I will know for future notice... Thanks!

  • Thank you it works 5 stars!

  • Glad to help :-)
