Can't help with the dates but I can tell you a story about Billy Thorpe. This is second-hand but a mate of mine was at an Aztecs concert after they went loud and heavy. There was hardly anyone in the hall so Thorpey sat on his amp at the front of the stage and talked and played. It was so incredibly loud and he was driving the amp so hard that it started to burn and flames were coming out between his legs. He was determined to be louder, heavier etc than anyone else.
I lived in Toowoomba in 1971 and I can remember sitting in the lounge room on a Sunday morning (I think?) in my turtle-neck and flares (was only a kid though) watching Happening '71 on B/W TV. This brings back a lot of memories - thanks a lot.
The Autumn film clip "Two of us" dates from 1970. The film clip of Johnny Farnham singing "Lucille" dates from 1969 and appeared on Hit Scene. The clip of Sherbet performing "You're all woman" was on GTK in 1972. The Captain Matchbox clip "Mobile Line" was on GTK and dates from 1973.
Re: The Billy Thorpe film clip "Mama". Try asking "poolfreezer". See his comment on the " Billy Thorpe and the Aztecs Live on GTK" youtube video. Apparently he was there when it was being fimed.
'Flip Flop or Fly' COMPANY CAINE was also 1971
