It depends. I've been there twice. The first time I went, I saw a few swimming through the stalactites. The second time I went I didn't. It's rumored that one of the dive companies from San Pedro puts chum in the water to attract the sharks while the divers are at depth.
I have a fear of deep water(even the deep end of the pool) I would never dip a toe in there!!!
