I didn't realize until recently that Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace were directed by two different directors. Being that Quantum was a direct sequel it makes me wonder why they didn't keep Martin Campbell on. The first one was epic. The second one...not so much, but it was good. Now another director? I guess. I'm just glad there's at least one more coming out. I really like the new take on Bond.

I'm thinking that because those two movies were so closely related to each other, this one is supposed different "mission." But I heard that it was about M's past "haunting her" or something like that and Bond has to help her out. It's obviously going to be a lot cooler than my poor, paraphrased summary, though.

The problem with bond films that every actor that has played bond except timothy dalton seem to get progressively more and more cheesy as time goes on. Roger Moores earliest films were pretty cool except maybe moonraker which jumped the shark a little bit.. but view to a kill got pretty absurd, I won't even comment on how stupid Die Another Day was... ugh. terrible.. I just hope they keep Craig's character consistant.. it's a good fit for him.

@manz92 Quantum of Solace was ripped from an Ian Flemming short story (which had nothing to do with the plot of the film), Skyfall is in the trust vein of Goldeneye, Thunderball, etc. Presumably it's the codename for the villain's plan.
