i don't get all these people saying he's insane i mean he is crazy in the sense that he should be institutionalized but instead of practicing playing something that you can listen to and say thats amazing he practiced the visual aspect. while it's very cool no doubt about that technically there is nothing special about that. to b a good musician you should be able to strip away the paint, glits and glamour, and showmanship so that just the playing makes you turn your head and say wow thats great

I'm a drummer and I'll say from a personal standpoint that this is pretty cool, BUT if he did it every song I'd be too distracted to enjoy the rest of the show. When you do things like this it screams "Hey, look at me everyone" and when I'm at a concert I like to see the entire band. That's just my personal preference. He's definitely a great showman though.
