  • How the hell does HUGH manage to keep holding that straight face???

  • I loved hugh dennis following frankie boyle on this show cos it always bought me a little time to enjoy frankies joke longer before someone else said something funny

  • that was in i saw that on tv

  • you know Hugh Dennis was rather pissed off he couldn't get his joke in.

  • This was never cut from the original televised episode of the show. I know, because I remember watching it on BBC2.

  • There is no such thing as negative humor. If its funny then its good, its the world that's fucked up not the comedians.

  • Points of view is not on same channel as Queer Eye so this "joke" does not make sense.

  • @clarkgwent Points of view covers more than just bbc shows though ........

  • British are just funnier don't know why probably coz they are smart and the British audience understand it's a joke so there r more insulting jokes which are the best like frankies Katie price joke unlike us were everyone is sue happy

  • why are there always "British vs American" arguments going on in so many of the videos here that have nothing to do with the subject.

  • @AntonioRepiso It is due to the americans bringing up nationality in every video that isn't american as if it is relevant.

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel Yes, I too am also puzzled as to why somebody can't at least 'get' this joke and it's nothing to do with class or cultural differences, but simply that don't have a sense of humor. At all.

Although, I really don't understand why someone *without* a sense of humor is watching Mock The Week on Youtube. Weird.

  • @lexo30 Theres MANY forms of comedy people have various preferences sarcasm, over exuberant&darker comics etc social class doesnt matter its individual choice he didnt get where he is today without people LIKING jokes/making them laugh regardless how outrageous it is least he actually has balls to raise/joke about controversial subjects people have been driven to fear/talk about due to over reacting PC he is raising awareness of subjects not in the conventional way but raising them all the same!

  • I've seen this aired on bloody tv! Since when was it cut?

  • Dara ruined it, as he does with most jokes on this show

  • I didn't understand: can anyone translate it for me? Thanks.

  • @AndreaTaroppio Points of View is a programme in the uk for people to complain about other tv programmes - hopefully you can understand how that fits into the rest of the joke. its bloody funny, by the way

  • @AndreaTaroppio What did you not get?

  • This wasn't cut?

  • Someone explain this to me?

  • am ericans have no sense of humor

  • Why's that funny? I am straight, have gay friends, and not only have they never given me fashion tips, they've never fucked me either.

  • @lexo30 I know, I'm gay and I never give my straight friends fashion tips,I like to be the best dressed in the group ;)

  • @TomTomTubes Seriously, though. Is this only funny if you happen to be British? Is it some sort of fucked-up and otherwise incomprehensible class-related thing? I am merely baffled.

  • @lexo30 I think British people don't get so offended by this type of comedy as much as Americans (cultural thing), It's Risqué it's cheeky it's rude just what we like a bit of dark humour, coz personally I wasn't offended i thought it was funny

  • @lexo30

What the Hell are you on about, your thing says you LIVE in the UK. Do you not get your own country's comedy, or did you just recently move here, or...?

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel Yeah, I moved here two years ago.

  • @lexo30

Oh well that's nice, insulting the comedy of the country you now live in basing it on class. I mean class, really? Incomprehensible? Is that really necessary?

Just out of curiousity, where did you move from?

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel The British class system's influence on everyday life in Britain is not clearly visible to anyone who was born and brought up in the UK because it's part of the air that you breathe, but believe me, it's spectacularly obvious if you're not from the UK but have a nose for it. I'm not sure who you think I'm insulting but the fact that you even think I'm insulting someone, as opposed to describing something, proves my point.

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel 'Just out of curiousity, where did you move from?' I would answer this question if I were stupid enough to believe that you were asking it 'just out of curiosity'.

  • @lexo30

Well, mate, what do you think I'm gonna do, come through the screen? I'm just wondering what high and mighty country you come from where you think it's okay to insult our comedy?

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel I am, btw, fully aware of the subtle gradations between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, and even the fact that within England there are class differences between north and south, and even between individual districts within urban areas, not to mention between urban and rural areas. I'm just sayin' that there are times when I'm talking to friends from England and Scotland and I silently give thanks that I didn't grow up infected by the obsession with class.

  • @IAmCaptainMarvel If you want to tell me to go the fuck back where I came from, well, go ahead. But I'm not gonna.

  • @lexo30

It's not that bothers me, if you wanna live here that's fine, but it's the fact you CHOOSE to insult it to such an extent as though it's something that only relates to the country that made it? I find American (not calling you American, just giving an example) comedy pretty damn funny too.

And England/Scotland/Wales can't be all that bad if you're living here right now.

So, I'm just harmlessly asking where you come from. I won't say anything slanderous about your country.

  • @TomTomTubes and fuck em!

  • @TomTomTubes Ahhhhhh. Cunning!

  • @lexo30 its comedy he is not stating facts . why go around trying to prove funny things wrong spoils the fun

  • at 0:30 the american guy looks as tho hes about to get fucked too lol

  • @excelbolt He isn't american...

  • @bapyou, would I be right in guessing your fuckin queer ? It was a joke man, fuckin humour, why the hissy fit with everyone??

  • @leetwigg blatantly a bandit mate

  • Hilarious xD

  • Don't see how this is that bad.... it dam funny

  • Could somebody please carefully explain this to me because I seriously don't get it??

  • @supernova108 play it to ur mum or dad and they will do a better job than us... mainly by u watching their reaction of cracking up

  • You're all a bunch of cunts. I'd love to be verbally abused by Boyle, sniff!

  • @ado75 I would die a happy boy if Frankie Boyle verbally abused me.

  • Comment removed

  • @dpoas You're in for a shock if you think you can move anywhere that doesn't have to deal with that crap... If you do happen to find such a place, let me know!

  • @dpoas lol do you hear yourself? racism, sexism can be found in every country in the world, to stereotype all teenagers is bullshit, you weren't born in the wrong country, you were born with this ideal that you're better than every person, you put us all in the same category, you're pathetic

  • i love the way he stands there and sniggers whilst everyone is belly laughing

  • omg this made me laugh...hysterically

  • @leopies you can't spell.

  • oh no, he said 'fucked' on tv. that's so funny

  • @petrovic069 The thing that made it funny wasn't that he swore on TV, you have to listen to the whole joke so enough with your sarcasm

  • Comment removed

  • @dpoas yeah but from what ive seen and heard of americans whilst on holiday and over xbox live (woot woot) all of your teens are immature high pitched weirdos who spout the word "faggot" like a homophobic machinegun... just sayin dude :/

  • @117Sniperlord117 how do you stereotype ALL american teenagers and put them in the same category? i've never understood how someone can stereotype an entire country of people

  • To some up: he thought one thing but actually something else happened. And he swore. Great.

  • I saw it on BBC when it was aired bro.

  • @bapyou ahh the good old British customs, cursing is just an everyday thing. You probably would think we've got Tourettes, take a look at malcolm tucker for example i'd bet you behind the cameras, you get that a lot at parliment... okay, maybe a bit of an exaggeration but still :)

  • Why is everyone in the comments section just giving their own country a rim-job.

  • i think this entire segment is made even funnier by Hugh Dennis's complete dead-pan lack of any emotion after the joke. Brilliant.

  • If you want to see a funny video guys check out - Fried Chicken EAZY

  • thats offensive how???

  • British TV. In America, if someone says 'fuck' on TV, there's a national uproar about declining morals and the end of civilization. The Brits just take it in stride.

Of course, American politicians all curse a blue streak in private. (See Richard Nixon's Oval Office tapes for proof.) What a bunch of creepy hypocrites Americans are.

  • @bapyou Do you even live in America? Because the America I know is nothing like what you described.

  • @Chillit67 Yes it is. It's exactly like I described it. You're a fucking delusional ape.

    Buzz off, creep.

  • @bapyou Never answered my first answer you ignorant asshole. As if your country is any better. All first world countries are basically on the same level.

  • @Chillit67 I "never answered [your] first answer"?

What the fuck does that mean?

How does one answer an answer? I thought answers were replies to questions.

    Silly me.

Are you sure YOU live in America?

Furthermore, who the fuck are you and what makes you think anyone has to do anything you suggest, such as answer a question you pose?

    Get a life, Dimbulb.

  • @bapyou Question*, sorry, butthurt ass.

And who the fuck are YOU to make an assumption about a whole society of people, with stands at more that 250 million? Stereotyping is the worst form of ignorance. Which taking in everything the media tells you about America.

  • @Chillit67 Who the fuck am I? I'm an American. I speak my truth. I define me; you do not define me. My experience is MY experience. My experience is not YOUR experience.

Therefore, in the context of a discussion on the difference between the public & private behavior of Americans (Richard Nixon is a prime example), when I say Americans are creepy hypocrites, that's what I've observed.

So you go 'head & spout your version of "the truth." I'll come back with the evidence suggesting otherwise.

  • @bapyou So you're so different and better than every other American? Right, got it, thanks.

  • @Chillit67 "So you're so different and better than every other American?"

Read back in my comments. In which one do I say I am "better" than someone else?

I express a critical observation about America, and anti-intellectuals like you crawl out of the woodwork.

Go back to my original comment: If someone says 'fuck' on American TV, it's a national uproar. You know this is true. And such a situation is a sign of an idiotic, immature, and hypocritical culture.

  • @bapyou Rule Britannia! xD

  • @bapyou Absolute spot on criticism. (I've lived in Ireland, America, and Norway.)

  • @bapyou All americans

  • @CornbreadPhD we're not all the same

  • @bapyou In general yea

  • @bapyou clearly you dont watch shows on amc, fx, tnt, or hbo, there's a REAL NATIONAL UPROAR when racism and homophobia and a lot of other things take place

  • @bapyou You apparently have never seen American television before.

  • @patjay3 You apparently are an arsehole...No actually a gay man seeking an arsehole.

  • @bapyou i live in america and sure Americans are a bunch of hypocrites but so is the rest of the world so no need to single us out

  • @bapyou take it in stride? like fuck we do, we don't go into defcon one like the americans but we are steadily getting worse. if we didn't bat an eye then mock the week would have been twice as long anf frankie boyle would have his own segment on it. but no, he has left.

  • @bapyou I'm English, and patriotic hypocrits like yourself give us a bad name.

  • @ItsBiwiPwice Shut the fuck up you twat, people like him dont. Americans give the English a bad name as they use are language incorrectly and are dumb cunts.

  • @OfficialCable "...use OUR language" not "...use are language". If you're gonna make a point about incorrect use of language at least use it correctly. And Americans speak English for a reason remember. I don't see how Americans give the English a bad name. America and England are two completely different countries. Stop stereotyping every person from every different country, it's not healthy.

  • @ItsBiwiPwice Amen.

  • @ItsBiwiPwice Because they call it american.

  • @ReyFlame82 Not all of them do, that's the point.

  • @bapyou Wow you are stretching for this argument...you will find anything to rant about Americans won't you?

  • @usafadb I bet you he's American. Stupid Americans, taking every opportunity to be offended.

  • @bapyou Yeah, all Americans are creepy hypocrites because one American politician swore in private. Do you see a slight flaw in the reasoning here? I have no special love for Americans, but your comment is based not on evidence but on nationalism.

  • the worst thing was watching the quiet comics not having the balls to laugh, wondering if political correctness could kill their careers...v sad

  • @SamuraiMongoose You obviously don't get it.

  • DICKS.

  • This joke is cut on Dave now.

  • if you can make dara laugh you're doing well

  • i find it funny that ed byrne leans against the table and it looks like hes bent over

  • Look at the cheeky look on Frankies face! Classic!

  • not even that funny

  • Comment removed

  • @1Thompsonmusic no you weren't...

  • @PassionateGuitarist1 That's because he knows that he is a hundred times more talented than half the preening, populist observation slingers that regularly get on Mock the Weak.

  • @PassionateGuitarist1 Not even a smile ... just a single eyebrow raised in a knowing manner...

  • i love how graham norton is in the related videos lol

  • I'm gay, I didn't find the joke that funny. I'm not offended at all, it's just when you put 'LEGENDARY' in the title, you kinda anticipate more :/

  • @NewtonKari Ikr, I didn't find it that funny, but I don't think it's really that offensive either :P

  • @PassionateGuitarist1 i fuckin hate it, the smug bastard

  • This wasn,t cut i saw it a few weeks ago on dave.

  • @Rickyandme1 were you giving dave fashion tips

  • @Rickyandme1 on the original airing on bbc 2 they cut the joke out it would only be included on the first mtw too hot for tv dvd & on dave

  • @Rickyandme1 It was cut from MTW though. Released later on DVD.

  • Love how the people below this comment are having an argument xD

  • This is probably my favourite joke ever from this show.

  • this didnt get cut?

  • i like how hugh has that look on his face of wondering how he can possibly top that particular joke XD

  • Not his best but was a belter

  • @potabledick no you dick he's fucking hilarious

  • This guy is boring.

  • (things you wouldn't say at a dinner party)

Frankie says-if were all hear then who's looking after Madelin.

  • lol

  • offencive joke? shut up will you .. thats the important word "JOKE" comedians make JOKES. I'm gay and i dont find this offensive and if you find it offensive you take life to seriously. cant we just laugh? words only have power when you give them power.

  • does anyone have a clip of hugh's follow up joke?

  • How is this offensive?

  • 0.29 is Ed Byrne getting ready for the gay action Frankie's banging on about?!

  • Comment removed

  • @GoreTHEchamp that would have been so much funnier if you hadn't missed out a vital word.

  • lol poor Hugh, getting upstaged like that

  • This didn't get cut from the show.

  • That's offensive?

  • That is so funny. If you are offended by this you just don't have a sense of humour (or American.)

Comedy has always been about making fun out of things that aren't ussually funny. The socially unexeptable, the embarassing, the tragic, the unfortunate. That's why there will always be fart jokes, fat jokes, death jokes, sex jokes, poo jokes, baby joke and race jokes.

I am sure gay people don't find this offensive as most of them (expecially in Engand) have a great sence of humour.

  • @GideonHectorMcLean Im a middle class, midwestern, straight american and I laughed my ass off to this. Get a life kid.

  • @blkvicePU

    gtfo yank

  • @HumanMonolith stfu

  • @blkvicePU Kid??? Ok Mr MIddle Class Midwestern Striaght Arse. Whatever you say Boy. I also live in your American Midwest, Illinois, and have for a few years now. You people will laugh at others but never at your self. As for get a life, I'd say I have had the kind of life a corn bred hick lick you could only dream.

  • @GideonHectorMcLean

Our gays are the finest in the world!

  • @GideonHectorMcLean I'm from the north east in America and I happen to find Frankie Boyle delightfully hilarious. Don't make such general assumptions about our humour.

  • @GideonHectorMcLean Its funny when people explain why things are funny

  • @GideonHectorMcLean You don't need to explain why it's funny in all honesty.

  • love the way (i think) bryne literally laughs his ass off

  • can somone plz explain this joke to me? clearly, im not that good with understanding jokes but this seems funny. so thx :)

  • @feroxia3 points of view is a complaints program on t.v. and queer eye for the straight guy is a show where 3 gay men go to a straight guys house and try to make him more fashionable and i suppose more attractive to women. It's just the simple fact that Frankie Boyle takes something which is considered a no-go (homophobia) and goes there! if you're English (feroxia3) then I apologise for explaining what points of view is..But then I can't help you with your sense of humour : )

  • @blackened667 thx alot :) it is pretty funny lol.

  • @blackened667 thank you very much!!! i appreciate the explanation. it makes sooooo much more sense now haha :D

  • this didnt get cut, i remember seeing it on a normal episode of MTW

  • @666necrobutcher666 dave or bbc?

  • Gotta feel sorry for that, er Hugh Dennis i think it is. He's always in his shadow, some of Frankies best jokes have him afterwards.

  • ROFL.

    Literally.

  • srsly . Not funny . It's not offending or anything, its just not funny. Far from "legendary"

  • @ElluzeoniX Millions would disagree with ya.......

  • that was meant for someone else, totally agree with u, sorry for the confusion

  • anyone who doesnt get this cant get frankie boyle at all - its the delivery

  • @orville1960 Why? he's making far too much money being a boss.

  • What a simple joke. Its not really that funny, you could see this a mile off.

  • I don't get this joke :S I'm not like retarded but I seriously don't get it ;L

  • @3424lauren Comedy often causes a laugh when the line is unexpected, in this case you clicked on a link implying the most super offensive bastard evil joke in the universe.

So you didn't find it funny. People in the audience and the other comedians laughed because it was unexpected.

My explanation will in no way make this joke suddenly funny, if anything it will make it less funny, but thats why people laughed.

  • im gay and im not offended

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx you are not offended because you fucked him

  • @chillydogification So did I

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx you offend me

  • @BeatsNBassNRhymes get a life

  • @BeatsNBassNRhymes then yer a cunt who can rot in hell

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx

Just because you are gay doesnt mean the joke is not offensive or inappropriate. I used to laugh at all Frankie's jokes and other comedians, but jokes about any minority (regardless of the harmless intention), perpeptuate prejudice in society.

  • @Mahavishnu80 i know but theres people saying that that offensive and im just sayin its not

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx

I understand you, but you should be mindful that thats still an ongoing social concern for those in your minority group and socisty as a whole. Homosexuality wasnt even decriminalised in Scotland until 1980, and i know gay people who have been physically assaulted, because of these perpetual soclal prejudices. Its irresponsible not to be aware of this.

  • @Mahavishnu80 im aware and i understand what you mean, but if it really is offencive i would never be allowed and frankie could get fired

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx me too i lolled

  • @WazzaFHD homophobe

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx go get bummed you fag

  • @WazzaFHD go to hell u homophobe

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx you are the one going to hell according to every major religion soooooo....

  • @WazzaFHD there is no religion christian, muslim, jew... its all horse shit

  • @xXGoLdEn8BoYXx meh i agree with that but ur still a fag
