If these are the songs for his 2nd CD I'm so disappointed. The first CD was so much better. This sounds like a country CD. Dude what happened. There aren't any fast or upbeat songs. I have multiple favorites on his For Your Entertainment CD: "For Your Entertainment" "Whataya Want From me" "Strut" "Soaked" "Sure Fire Winners" "If I Had You" "Fever" "Pick U Up" "Aftermath" "Broken Open" "Time For Miracles" and my all time favorite "Sleepwalker". If this is his 2nd CD... He has fallen off for sure.
This is pre-idol. He was low on money, and his vocals were used to sing these for other artists.. When he became famous, this CD was released without Adam's permission.

This album is okay. I was just at Wal*Mart looking through CD's when I found this. I was going to buy it but then I decided to wait and look it up here on YouTube. It needs a little more variety, though. Kind of bland. Good voice. I think that "For Your Entertainment" is much better and it seems more him. This just seems too post American Idol, don't you think? It sounds really great, but, not him. F.Y.E is definatley Adam Lambert we know.

He was also "directed" to sing it differently than he normally would. I wont buy it.
tbh i think the FYE songs fit him way better . just as Randy Jackson said on Idol when Adam sang Whole Lotta Love , he is a rock star , he's made to scream , to bang, to explode . this style is not for him . im not mean, i love him, but these are just not suitable for him

This was a Pre-Idol CD, these aren't his songs, i believe they "borrowed" his voice.
Adam doesn't support this CD - so i won't "feed the vultures" as someone said.
I have to say, this isn't his style, although its awesome to see how his greatly voice ranges. Even if this isn't the Adam we know and love today, i do like "Climb" and "December".

This "Take One" Album is pre-idol, ADAM said it is not his style cuz he is not writing the way he wanted. This song belongs to someone else. He does not own it. Go To his recent album "For Your Entertainment" contains 12 -15 songs and EACH song has differnent taste and EACH one is...just OUTRAGEOUS ! Unbelievealbe !

They do sound all the same and this album is nothing like "For Your Entertainment". "Hourglass" is lovely, however. I think this is his "safe" album. True Adam fans will appreciate the growth between this album and FYE. FYE gives him the opportunity to shine like we all know he can. The remixes of the songs sound closer to FYE and with some gloss, they could easily be part of his sophomore album, maybe?
this was released without his permission... a bunch of idiots got together and compiled and stole some of his demos for other artists and released it without his permission...just look at the album cover...it looks like some bad quality photo taken off of a google search... do not suppoirt this album at all.... Adam was so pissed when he found out about that.

I just heard the live stream of FYE and I am totally blown away! I am so sorry I judged the album on the 30sec snippets. Although some songs seem to over power Adam's voice, most do not and in fact they showcase his incredible vocal abilities! WOW! ADAM IS ALIVE compared to this album. I still like take one album cover best. FYE MUSIC IS AMAZING !!! I can't wait to get my copy!! LOVE ADAM!!!!

I just bought this CD and Adam sounds wonderful. I love the album cover with his beautiful face on it also. I'm a consumer and I am addicted to Adam's voice, what can I say? I'll buy FYE also but I wish for less electronics over his voice. Adam has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.

Adam has the musical, vocal abilities & stage presence that lend to an astounding amount of potential. His talent is not debatable, like him or not, he's truly gifted. Hopefully he'll make the right choices on his musical journey. I hold a music degree, and have been to dozens upon dozens of concerts & honestly, I truly can't remember the last time an artist has generated as much energy & enthusiasm as Adam has. He was BRILLIANT live in concert. His future is potentially very bright.

I don't see where Adam sounds "amazing." Is it an obligation of every fan to say he sounds amaing on everything? Nothing here stands out or makes a statement. Most of it sounds like the old musical theater stuff that he did. His biggest mistake was using a dance song as his first single. After all the hype and hoopla, we get a runof the mill dance song from an artist who vows to bring back GlamRock? This is all very confusing.
Adam sounds amazing, because he is easily one of the most technically skilled vocalists in the past few decades. And as for his music, why don't you wait for his album to come out before you say anything.
None of the "amazing" stuff will matter if he doesn't release a hit single. As it stands now, The dance song FYE caught everyone off guard considering the fact all he did on the show was rock orientated. Dance music is the polar oppsite of rock. He lost his rock cred and a ton of fans in the process.
Yeah, I actually agree with this. I thought FYE was a horrible pick for a 1st single. I think he realized this mistake, and just released Whataya Want from Me. That one isn't glamrock either, but it's a step better in the right direction.
Daughtry sings rock, Kelly Clarson sings pop/rock, Carrie does country. Why can't Adam establish himself with a genre? Your first single is supposed to make a statement, it's supposed to showcase your strengths. FYE is an average dance song that swallows up his vocals. Yeah, sure it's catchy, but honestly, anybody could've sang it. What gives? Where's the rocker? Where's the statement? He's not living up to the hype.

When Adam sang "Ring of Fire" it was a cop out on his part for not trying to do something interesting with country music. While others found it "amazing," I saw it for what it was: he couldn't tackle country, so he decided to disrespect country music with that horrible performance. Yeah, he's amazing alright.

David Cook did something interesting wih Billie Jean. All Adam seems to do is put a rock vocal on every song. Is that what you mean by amazing? To say that an artist sounds "amazing" on everything he does, is not very realistic unless there is some strange unconditional love for everything he dos. This unconditional love that you possess for Adam disqualifies you as an objective music lover since you find no fault in anything he does.

At this point, it's in the hands of the record buying public. Adam is depending on, for the most part, people who are just record buyers, and not necessarily AI viewers. It all comes down to the music. Loving or hating Adam is irrelevant.

Adam called Susan Boyle's album boring--he had better listen to this album and keep his opinion to himself. She is at least singing in her style--this Adam is not his style. I do like his music but don't knock others.

Adam is 100% correct. I bought Adam CD and Susan Boyle CD as Xmas gift. I was SO SO dissapointed , Susan Boyle CD was GREAT DISSAPOINTMENT, her voice was so weak and the band playing so monotone ! She could do better than that. ADAM CD knock peole dead !! People in UK this week have ADAM on Radio TV in UK. THey LOVE him, not only that see how people Australia, Japan, Singapore were crazy about him ! ADAM is the BEST EVER !!

This "Take One" Album is pre-idol, ADAM said it is not his style cuz he is not writing the way he wanted. This song belongs to someone else. He does not own it. Go To his recent album "For Your Entertainment" contains 12 -15 songs and EACH song has differnent taste and EACH one is...just OUTRAGEOUS ! Unbelievealbe !

They do sound all the same and this album is nothing like "For Your Entertainment". "Hourglass" is lovely, however. I think this is his "safe" album. True Adam fans will appreciate the growth between this album and FYE. FYE gives him the opportunity to shine like we all know he can. The remixes of the songs sound closer to FYE and with some gloss, they could easily be part of his sophomore album, maybe?

this was released without his permission... a bunch of idiots got together and compiled and stole some of his demos for other artists and released it without his permission...just look at the album cover...it looks like some bad quality photo taken off of a google search... do not suppoirt this album at all.... Adam was so pissed when he found out about that.

I LOVE this album The more mellow side is JUST as awesome as the Rock side of Adam. GREAT album to fall asleep to. Peaceful and dreamy. Worth the $10 for sure.

These are not Adam songs. Adam was hired as a session singer to put his voice to some songs, so they could be shopped to other artists. He got a flat session rate. These idiots didn't see the talent singing right in front of them. Now that he is a celebrity they have put the song demos onto a record to make money off Adam.

I just heard the live stream of FYE and I am totally blown away! I am so sorry I judged the album on the 30sec snippets. Although some songs seem to over power Adam's voice, most do not and in fact they showcase his incredible vocal abilities! WOW! ADAM IS ALIVE compared to this album. I still like take one album cover best. FYE MUSIC IS AMAZING !!! I can't wait to get my copy!! LOVE ADAM!!!!

Attention please, This is NOT the official CD. This is an unauthorized CD!! These are some demo songs that Adam made 3-4 years ago. Adam does not make any money out of this CD as far as I know. Someone is releasing this now to try to make some money with his fame right now.
His official CD will be on street on 11/23, and title is For Your Entertainment.

I just bought this CD and Adam sounds wonderful. I love the album cover with his beautiful face on it also. I'm a consumer and I am addicted to Adam's voice, what can I say? I'll buy FYE also but I wish for less electronics over his voice. Adam has the most beautiful voice I have ever heard.

Adam has the musical, vocal abilities & stage presence that lend to an astounding amount of potential. His talent is not debatable, like him or not, he's truly gifted. Hopefully he'll make the right choices on his musical journey. I hold a music degree, and have been to dozens upon dozens of concerts & honestly, I truly can't remember the last time an artist has generated as much energy & enthusiasm as Adam has. He was BRILLIANT live in concert. His future is potentially very bright.

I don't see where Adam sounds "amazing." Is it an obligation of every fan to say he sounds amaing on everything? Nothing here stands out or makes a statement. Most of it sounds like the old musical theater stuff that he did. His biggest mistake was using a dance song as his first single. After all the hype and hoopla, we get a runof the mill dance song from an artist who vows to bring back GlamRock? This is all very confusing.

None of the "amazing" stuff will matter if he doesn't release a hit single. As it stands now, The dance song FYE caught everyone off guard considering the fact all he did on the show was rock orientated. Dance music is the polar oppsite of rock. He lost his rock cred and a ton of fans in the process.

Yeah, I actually agree with this. I thought FYE was a horrible pick for a 1st single. I think he realized this mistake, and just released Whataya Want from Me. That one isn't glamrock either, but it's a step better in the right direction.

Daughtry sings rock, Kelly Clarson sings pop/rock, Carrie does country. Why can't Adam establish himself with a genre? Your first single is supposed to make a statement, it's supposed to showcase your strengths. FYE is an average dance song that swallows up his vocals. Yeah, sure it's catchy, but honestly, anybody could've sang it. What gives? Where's the rocker? Where's the statement? He's not living up to the hype.

When Adam sang "Ring of Fire" it was a cop out on his part for not trying to do something interesting with country music. While others found it "amazing," I saw it for what it was: he couldn't tackle country, so he decided to disrespect country music with that horrible performance. Yeah, he's amazing alright.

You're obviously not a country music fan if you think that Adam even attempted to sing country. It's funny how adam has the ability to make people lose their religion in his defense. Music legends have been disgraced in his defense. Where does it end? This kind of unrealistic idol worship will only make people resent him because nobody can live up to all this hype. The first single proves that. He seems to be making some questionable choices.

David Cook did something interesting wih Billie Jean. All Adam seems to do is put a rock vocal on every song. Is that what you mean by amazing? To say that an artist sounds "amazing" on everything he does, is not very realistic unless there is some strange unconditional love for everything he dos. This unconditional love that you possess for Adam disqualifies you as an objective music lover since you find no fault in anything he does.

At this point, it's in the hands of the record buying public. Adam is depending on, for the most part, people who are just record buyers, and not necessarily AI viewers. The album cover is problematic, and most of their info is coming from the hype generated by AI and fans like you. When they finally hear the music, do you think they will find it to be "amazing?" It all comes down to the music. Loving or hating Adam is irrelevant.

This makes no sense. You knock him for not trying to "tackle country," yet you complain that he doesn't find his niche. He didn't tackle country, BECAUSE it wasn't his type of music. If he actually did pander to the country style, then people would complain that he isn't being true to himself.
He is a rocker, but I think he made a mistake with his first single.

Not his type of music? That sounds like an excuse, not a challenge. Most people were expecting him to do something amazing with country music. The word "amazing keeps poping up, but where's the evidence if he avoids a genre? "Making it his own" has become his way of just singing songs in the same rock style. Saying that someone is amazing over and over again, when he has yet to prove himself, will have an adverse effect on his career.

Saying "amazing" over and over again does not say anything. What exactly is so amazing? I'm sure you, and any other music lover, can pick any artist and say specifically and articulately what is amazing about them. But no one seems to be able to do that with Adam. Alll you ever hear is that he's amazing, and then you all get defensive and curse them out if they don't agree.
