I like The Sims 2 the best, but I hated The Sims 3. However, despite its flaws, The Sims 1 holds a lot of great memories for me (including wooing Bella Goth before I knew she was married, lol). I got the game on the same week that it came out, and I was blown away. I remember that the must-have expansion packs were Livin' Large and Hot Date. The downtown area really made the game feel more alive. Superstar was pretty cool too, but kinda hard.

@Matthew5000001 eh, no the reason there is a line of people complaining is because the series is geting progressively less content than the original sims one series, and so on through each series. I won't say how "oh the sims 2, sims 3, etc suck", because it can be funner to others. The point about content remains though, The Sims began with more varied items than any other series of Sims to this date.

I'm excited for TS3 and I really don't mind it because I'm looking forward to it, but if they were to extend the game any further with TS4 or even TS5 (cringe...), that's completely crossing the line. What more could they do and improve on? Nothing. TS3 will hopefully be the last of the Sims. It's not like TS2 is total crap, so people will definitely still be playing that if they don't like TS3 but there's no need for any more generations.

They will continue to expand on it of course...It is the most succesful comp. series ever, and expansion packs are to tedious when there are about 10 to the original game...Diagonal objects, gradual aging as said before are just a few of the things that should be added

Yes but I mean that in TS3, all the improvements such as aging, diagonal objects, etc will be in this game. I think once we get to a TS5 then that's way too much. Just keep making expansions for TS3 for improvements. In each generation they'd have to change the look of things or else they would hardly be improving the game. Expansions are necessary for TS3 but I'm not sure anything passed TS3 I'll be buying. Maybe... TS4 but only if it's something that will completely blow my mind.
