Hey um, when I take a video in high quality and then play it back in my gallary, it is really laggy, and it glitches up, then the audio is way off from the video. I just got the 2.2 update, and that possibly could've fixed it but has anyone else have that problem?

For a cell phone, this is damn good quality. LOL it's amazing how far cell phones have come. I remember when my Mom had a Sony Ericsson flip phone back in 2001 or 2002. The video recording was shit. But back then we thought it was all cool, b/c camera phones were the new thing. Now, you have these cell phones shooting in damn near HD and full HD quality. LOL, I love it.

As long as you have a Micro SHDC card inserted in the phone,

it will show an option to set the video recording format to the 2nd option called

Video Quality, High(for SD card)

To get to this, open the camera, switch to video, and on the left edge of the screen you will notice a little bar with ridges on the left edge of the screen,

touch that and you will see all the settings.

Have fun and love your DROID. or it will transform and eat all the electronics in your house.

Comparing this with your N900 sample:

The N900 version looks a little softer. Check out the wiring/cables in the scene

Also, towards the the sky remains white in the Droid sample but quickly turns to blue in the N900

The N900 sample looks a little jerky to me

no, not at all. go check iphone sample videos and you will see, the edges are very choppy on the droid's camera and that doesnt happen on the iphone. im even watching this in hd and the edges are still choppy

yes but it runs smoothly which is mainly what a cellphone video should do in imo. watch other cellphone videos (reg. phones) their frame rate sucks and its not that great to watch

Ok and the iphone has horrible video recording. And I don't even think it comes with the phone. You have to download an app. But who knows. Once they tweak the fireware and fix all the camera problems I'm sure it will be remarkable. Because every phone has firmware updates you can get for free at any verizon store.

Also The Droid (not android because android is a TYPE of phone not the name of it,just like a flip phone is a TYPE) does have a camera because this is a video TESTING the camera. And the Droid Can work without Wi-fi. Anybody can google it for themselves to see if my info is wrong or right. Iphone 3G is gone. and If Apple is so brilliant, Why can't they make phones that don't have recalls?

@dancediva961 Its an optical illusion, the Andriod just copies movies from the internet to you telephone and make it looks like you recorded yourself. My uncle told me. And he knows, oh yeah. A friend of a friend of him who is the head of Motorola told him that an employee explained that to him. However the employee seems to be disappeared after this strange occurrence and it is told that he works for Apple because he was rather a camera engineer than a steal-videos-from-the-internet engineer.

The N900 is dropping frames while recording But remember that It is pre-release firmware! Hopefully it is fixed for launch :)

The N900 is about the same - better resolution, worse framerate The iPhone 3GS only records at 640x480 (albeit at 30 fps) and looks great, but can't be compared directly to either the N900 or the Droid.

Wonder what the raw video looks like on either the phone or on the computer. DVD quality? Maybe in frame rate, but so far the videos we've seen of it are a little pixelated and not as smooth as the iPhone. As far as cellphones go its still pretty good.
