Millions of people already do. This is one of the HP Mediasmart Servers. And while $799 sounds steep, keep in mind its from a well-known company with an outstanding reputation. Sure you can get (or make one) thats cheaper, its not going to be as power efficient, or as space efficient. That one you put on a shelf somewhere, run a cable to your router, plug it in and run the install disc on your computers. Thats it, no extra assembly, not confusing menu's.

dam that not cheap hell you can buy the WHS server for under 100 bucks of MIcrosoft, then take and old computer at home or build a computer for less than what they have. hell I can get parts and put together a server that can hold more storage than meats the eye for under 400.

This is NOT WORTH IT! The only advantage this system has is the hot swap drives. You can build up your own Home Server PC for much less and make it 4 times faster and better in every way. Please dont be fooled and buy this product it is a waste of money. If you need a home server please contact me and i will set you up with one for about $300 cheaper!
