  • Great work, shows what you can do with these great cameras. Thanks.

  • The color grading in these clips are some of the best I have seen on youtube. As it has been pointed out before the blacks are crushed a bit too much. If you shoot with ciniestyle you should be able to correct this.

  • If I can make a suggestion, I recommend using the Cinestyle preset. You can download it from Technicolor's website, and it'll lower the contrast in your image, so when you color grade your footage your darks won't get so crushed.

  • New York?

  • magic bullet i have testet

  • Nicely done! very good work, you should check out some of my stuff and let me know what you think.

  • A tutorial would be nice. ;)

  • Great video keep up the good work.

  • @TheHeavenlyEdits No. And Magic Bullet is NOT free.

  • how did you achieve the anamorphic effect?? I'm searching high and low to find that answer. I use premiere and after effects... please do help

  • @ZeDBeE85 I answered that in another comment.

  • @Odnesor where abt bro? how many weeks or months ago did ya reply?

  • @ZeDBeE85 There are only 38 comments in this video.

  • @Odnesor lol yea i found it.. sorry.. u explained for sony vegas... trying to find for premiere... thanks though :)

  • @ZeDBeE85 Is the same principle. Look for "2.35:1 mask premier" in google.

  • @ZeDBeE85 There are a few ways. 1st is to use the crop effect and trim the top and bottom. Second is to go into the title maker in premiere and make a graphic overlay of black boxes on the top and bottom then overlay that title on the upmost layer.

  • like the look of this.

  • This is really good...except I think you over crushed the black a little bit, but it doesn't matter it's great!

  • can u explain how you got the effects to animate using vegas?/

  • @TheBirdComrade I answered that in another comment.

  • good work... I would use Deshaker in some scenes.

  • naiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisss

  • went too far with the blacks.

  • what is the music? so beautiful!

  • @TianzeK It's in the description.

  • @Odnesor Thank you!

  • yeah, perfect

  • yeah, that color correction is the shit

  • how come its not 1080p? Not that it matters, its just the 550 can shoot full 1080.

  • @rorrt I asked somebody for permission to use a video that was on vimeo and the downloadable version was 640x360.

I just wanted a video from the streets on New York.

  • @rorrt They probably don't have the time to wait for 1080p to render and upload, I have hour long render+upload times with 720p!

  • @rorrt it depends how it has been rendered and if its filmed in 1980x1080 or 720

  • @rorrt Probably 60fps at 720p

  • @rorrt 1080 is 24 or 30 fps. 720 is 60 fps, which makes slowmo's just that little bit nicer!

  • @rorrt the 550d shoots 1080p but at 30 fps i think. if not 30, then its 20 fps.

  • @rorrt they might not have edited in 1080p

  • @rorrt i would guess to shoot more fps

  • @rorrt For slow motion, they shot in 720P, 60P

  • @rorrt in 720p you can shoot 60fps...giving the video a smoother look

  • nice work man!

  • what is the song??????? love it

  • @seazk303 It's in the description.

  • Cool

  • Around how much do you charge for color correction?

  • @785tt9gh I have only worked on my own projects (this video was just a test) so I have never done it for somebody else, it would depend on the project.

  • The look you are going for is nice, but the blacks are WAY crushed here.

  • @FollowingAutumn I thought so too!

  • @FollowingAutumn

I know, this guy is totally racist!

  • @FollowingAutumn That ain't racist! THATS A COLOR CORRECTION TERM!

  • @FollowingAutumn OMG RACIST! :P

  • @FollowingAutumn Explain how to make the blacks better

  • Great work. Awesome! What lenses did you use?

  • @mcHuckFinn The video is not mine. I just did the color correction.

  • that is awesome!!!

  • so basicly you made 2 clips and rendered 2 clips as i think 1 with color correction 1 without and you made transition in vegas between them? Can you tell me the name of this transition?

  • @kacperturon Yes, they are 2 clips and the transition is just a mask with keyframes.

  • @Odnesor Can you tell me a bit more about this transition 'cus i have troubles doing it. Im using crop to make keyframe for 1 video from left to right and i make this video alpha channel straight but it looks like a picture is coming on a second picture.

  • @kacperturon Don't Crop, Mask.

With the video on top selected, Tools → Video → Video Event Pan/Crop... (or just click Event Pan/Crop at the end of the clip)

Put a check mark ✓ on the Mask Layer (the one on the bottom)

On the first frame draw a mask to cover the whole frame (make it a little bit larger)

Then move to the frame where you want the transition to end

Move the left side of the mask all the way to the right so your mask is not covering the frame

    And that's it.

  • @kacperturon By the way, you don't need to change the compositing mode.

  • @Odnesor Thanks it works ... i was a bit too stupid to think of it. Again thanks.

  • Nice- is this just curves correction+tint?

  • @cookwerth Custom Mojo mainly.

    bit.ly /KyG5B

  • amazing!

  • great job
