There is so much background chatter, goofing around and giggling now

you can't hear the narration or haunting noises on this ride anymore.

Most of you probably don't remember WDW back before they turned it

into JUNK. It was a great value for your money.

Now they whisk everybody thru the rides fast as they can to score their

FOUR-MILLION DOLLAR DAYS. Do the math:

50,000 adults in the park times $80 per person= $4,000,000 PER DAY!

And they STILL plan more PRICE INCREASES!

The video is really nice considering its a dark ride. Haunted mansion is a classic i never got tired of. Also practical since its a dark air conditioned ride so nice if you need to escape the heat for a while.

I've gone on this ride several times. You wait in line outside the mansion, and are then escorted into a room, where they demonstrate the story behind the haunted mansion. Then you go into another room, and ride into a buggy cart. You then proceed through the entire mansion, and the various rooms where you see ghosts and you hear music throughout. It is not scary at all. There are no drops or sudden frights. It does not go fast either. But it is definitely an enjoyable ride, and a classic.

OMG!!!!!!!!! I have so many memories from this ride.

I remember riding this back in the summer of 1989, when I was only 4 years old. I remember, at the time, at that age, I was scarred shitless of it.

Seeing the dancing ghosts in the ballroom, the witch in the crystal ball all scared the shit out of me. But I always, always got the biggest kick out of seeing the ghosts sitting right beside you when you saw your reflection the mirrors at the end.

I've never been to disneyworld, because I prefer disneyland as the original.

Also, I believe the DW haunted mansion doesn't do the 'nightmare before christmas' holiday version at christmas/halloween.

And everything at Florida gets re-amped, where as disneyland is still, mostly original. I'd die if they changed the tiki room!
