@vascokid Jeff Bridges has a great voice ! Chet Baker had a "weak" voice if you will but was still considered to be one of the greatest jazz singers of his time.
On another version of this song, someone writes that this is NOT Mia Farrow. Can't remember who it is, but it's someone who CAN actually sing. Didn't think it could have been Farrow. And it's not.
OMG I can't believe I found this song on here, I loved it in The Last Unicorn, but it never occurred to me to look for it, but it was awesome listening it to again.
I never knew there were more words to this song. It's shame that Bridges's singing is so unbearable. I wonder why Garfunkel didn't sing the entire song.
Sweet pop ballad-Jeff Bridges' vocals are weak..in fact,if you listen closely(to the vinyl or CD version),you can hear the mic get bumped..I'm thinking they had to keep whatever parts of each take were in tune..they must have punched in a lot to get anything like a decent vocal..nonetheless,there's a nice naivete to it..Webb is,imho, one of the great American singer-songwriters!!
Thanks for including so much information with your video! I feel a little more informed now! I had to start your video again because I was reading! LOL...It was worth listening to a second time because those photographs were amazing! Thanks!
Any idea where I can find guitar tabs for this song? I've been hunting around the internet forever to no avail. :(

the female voice is actually Delcan Galbraith a male child singer from the time he sang all the female songs in that movie
ginsspot 2 years ago
@ginsspot I think the name is actually "Declan Galbraith", not Delcan. As in Elvis Costello's real first name(also Declan).

Jeff Bridges has a weak voice? Sure. But what does that matter? Here is a man singing from his heart.

The better version is Art Garfunkel, who did
great renditions of Webb's songs.
His version is very short, but very gorgeous.

Agreed, and in that Garfunkel album is "in cars" in my opinion the most underrated song by webb and garfunkel.
