Why is everyone being so ignorant? Chill out. Someone can use this for halloween if they want. Im hispanic and I see no problem with someone wanted to replicate the style. Im sure she isnt THAT ignorant and knows the difference between halloween and dia de los muertos. Ive seen hispanic women reffer to this style as "sugar skull" as well. All these racist comments. I'm only half hispanic (father is full), but I lived in Guatemala for about a year (I know, not very long.) but I too have heard them refer to it as "sugar skull". I was going to enter a horse show where you *and* your real horse dress up, and they choose a winner. We were going to use a sugar skull style, some "hispanic/mexican" (?) tack (not sure what to call it, but im sure you know what I mean?" and then have fake sugar skulls hang off the horse.

It is beautiful though i must admit. I'm American 7th Generation of Mexican Decent and i've always Celebrated Halloween & Day of the dead and i knew the difference between the 2.Halloween you get candy. Day of the dead you Honor your grandfather ,grandmother cousin, uncle ,sister, brother and visit there graves and decorate with speacial day of the dead flowers,foods, things that person enjoyed in this life you reminisce on memories you had about them cry ,laugh etc.. HUGE DIFFERENCE!!!
