Wow ! Been a long time since I heard this group and the rumor that it was really members of the Beatles expressing their feelings. Whatever. Just loved hearing this group again. God bless.
This is a very nice song. I vaguely remember hearing it long ago. I'm glad ReStart put it up. You don't hear music like that anymore these days, so that's a treat.
The best song ever! On my top 10 list every time I make one. Too bad nobody I know is familiar with it, but they like it if I get to play it for them.
Many years ago Klaatu opened a concert in a small venue in Toronto on the Danforth (it may have been the Roxy Theatre). They opened for Prism, and although Prism was OK, everyone there was so to see Klaatu. When they were done, most left leaving Prism to play to an almost empty theatre.
I felt sorry for Prism whos song Armageddon was very good, but Klaatu stole the show hands down.
I was there too. It was AWESOME! I later got the band members to sign photos of that concert when they played at the Hard Rock Cafe on Yonge Street. From a sold out Theatre to a bar! SAD. But I got to see them close up then!
@f1nuts I'd say The Barenaked Ladies got way more influence from Doug and the Slugs who popularized offbeat humorous pop music as a style in Canada. Maybe I'm wrong, but that was the first thing I thought of when the BNL came out.
More like the Beatles and the Moody Blues...

I haven't heard Dear Christine since I was a teen in the 70s. The beauty and love in this song haven't changed in 30 years. Thank you for posting it.

Thanks from a real Canuck! They paved the way for the Tragically Hip, The Barenakedladies, and Great Big Sea.
God Bless.
