i think he means that pop rap (rappers signed to major labels) is shit. This is because when a rapper signs to a label, they lose all creative control over their music, and the record company will influence what songs the rapper makes, based on what is believed will be popular. thats why indie shit is sometimes good, because theres no deviation from the message... but then, youll still get the people just rapping bout the bitches an the hoes. industrialization of music makes it bout the money
